About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

"If we don't do better, if we don't take this anger we have right now, this despair, this sorrow and turn it into action, then we deserve to be a footnote in that history. And that footnote will say that we knew that an ideology of hatred and violence was ruining another generation, yet we still failed to do everything we could to stop it. We failed to save ourselves or our kids."

I know what FUBAR stands for. But this one’s a new one.

From your keyboard to God's screen.

"... little kids, sacrificed in worship of guns."

We should use phrases like this - as OUR weapons.

Speak of it exactly like this.

Describe it exactly like this.

And repeat, repeat, repeat. And repeat some MORE.

Because it IS the goddamn worship of guns!

They hold guns as more important than children’s lives. NINETEEN children’s lives. And that’s just the latest death toll from the latest school shooting.

Yeah. No shit.

We've gone insane, America.

And MAN-oh-MAN have we lost our way.

Was that the group of police who stood around waiting for some "cue"

to storm the classroom and get the gunman? Nice of ‘em to keep their distance so the mass murderer had enough time and room to finish his work…

Obtuse. I bet you can call them that, to their faces, and

they won’t know what it means.

This speech was so deftly delivered that nobody even felt it when they were cut right through to the bone.
