I am not a psychologist and don't even play one on TV, but---
It seems to me that there are among us quite a few extremely insecure and unsuccessful folks who choose to spend most of their time searching for someone to blame for their unhappiness. If that is at all accurate, it follows that they feel justified in hurting the people pointed out as "them"---those evil people responsible for their sad lot in life.
And, then, in that explosive atmosphere, a loud, brash, vulgar and "successful" man rises to tell these people who to blame, who to hate, who they would be "justified" in harming. And, while most of these broken toys will not go beyond shouted obscenities and vulgar bumper stickers, some---a small percentage---decide that guns and bombs and arson are what is needed to --- "MAGA". In between the shouters and the shooters are the cowards who send anonymous threats by mail or email or late night phone calls.
Does anyone doubt that the sickies just described are willing to destroy our nation if that will "own" the libs/Dems/progs?

Serious question: are the Republicans paying CNN for this "news coverage" of the midterm
races or is it just treated as a political "contribution"?
Like their chosen party, they no longer even try to conceal their agenda.
Putin's unmitigated and transparent cruelty in continuing the imprisonment of Ms Griner is
a display of pure spite: he dislikes Joe Biden---who defeated HIS US president---and this is a way to cause him political difficulties and distract the American public, so----
And, it is also an example of why Trump is so enamored with Vlad: he envies his ability to be cruel without consequence. Make no mistake: Trump's personality is in no way less cruel, less willing to imprison, torture or assassinate those who oppose or embarrass him. He just happens to live in a country which---so far---is not an autocracy.
Trump and those leaders he wants so desperately to emulate seem to have a couple of common characteristics: each believes the universe revolves around them and each apparently believes they will live forever.
I hope to live long enough to see "our" member of the international rogue's gallery be surprised when he "goes the way of all flesh".
Bound to happen sooner or later: a school superintendent, principal or teacher in a "constitutional
carry stand your ground" state recognizes the angry armed person confronting them as one of the mouth-breathers who has repeatedly threatened to shoot them for being "woke". The person places their hand on their open-carry Glock and the superintendent/principal/teacher pulls THEIR pistol and fires one round into the person's face.
They then put their weapon down and state "I was in reasonable fear of suffering great bodily harm and chose to stand my ground and defend myself."
Besides Mr. Soros---who everyone knows funds and controls all Democratic activists and is personally
sprinkling "woke powders" onto the nations supplies of kale and arugula---are there mega-wealthy progressives who dump last minute millions into close races like the "mega-MAGA" billionaires apparently do?

This will contain several very appropriate obscenities.
For several days, I've seen accounts here and elsewhere of obviously armed masked piles of shit sitting on their tailgates and "just watching" and videoing people 75 feet away as they deposited their ballots into the appropriate drop box. Apparently, as long as these cowardly assholes are at least 75 feet away from the box, this conduct does not break any law.
I have a suggestion for any decent persons in these areas who are offended by these thuggish attempts at intimidation.
A small group should VERY OBVIOUSLY video these bags of pus AS THEY CALMLY APPROACH them. At least one person taking video should be visible but separate from those approaching. They should be sure to be seen getting photos of the vehicle license plates AND the scummy GI Joe wannabes threatening voters. And, then, when close enough----INTERVIEW THE SONSABITCHES!
"What is your name? Where do you live? Why are you here? Who do you represent? Why the mask? Are you ashamed of what you're doing? Why do you have that silly rifle?"
This would also "not break any law". Any "brandishing" or threats would be recorded. Videos of these encounters should all be posted on line with a question something like "Can you identify these skulking masked thugs?" These cowardly punks will not like the publicity.
But, you may ask, they are armed; what if they start shooting?
Possible? Yes, of course, but do you really think they would do so while it is so obvious they are being videoed or live-streamed?
Who would be so bold as to do what I have suggested? I would if it occurred in my area.
"Easy to say" I know, but you either choose to believe it or not. I don't really care.
It is time to confront these despicable assholes in public.
Why you should not vote for ANY Republican---in a "nut"shell:
Simply put, they are bad people. True, some are not as bad as others, but none of them are good people when judged by standards that have been generally accepted by the majority since we were still colonies.
They lie; not just now and then, but constantly, consistently and without shame. To a Republican, only weak suckers tell the truth when a lie will better serve their purpose.
They are arrogant cowards which is why they are racist homophobic misogynistic religious bigots. They profess to be better than anyone who is "different".
They are cruel and uncaring. They are not just willing to hurt others; they are eager to do so if it will benefit them and if it can be done without risk.
They distrust not just science, but the entire concept of "facts". They know that facts can be proven and they are uncomfortable with the possibility of being "wrong". They much prefer loudly stated half-baked opinions because they are not subject to anyone else's rules or common sense.
Vote for "good people". It really is that simple.
