Of all the votes cast in this midterm election for Congress, how many were for Democrats versus

how many for Republicans?

When it is all sorted out and the counting is complete, I will be shocked if MANY more Democratic votes were not cast.

Jerry Mander must be defeated.

Apologies to Gordon Lightfoot---"The Wreck of the MAGA-A-Lago"

The lies seemed to stream from the former guy's home
At a roach ranch he'd named Mar-A-Lago
The problem they say is the uncanny way
That his words leave the MAGAs agog---Oh!
He could say up is down, that a smile is a frown
And their empty heads would start to bobble
Then he'd toss some a cap as he fed them more crap
Which they thanked him for letting them gobble!

Just why some were trusting a man so disgusting
Was the question no pundit could answer
Our democracy sagged, when he spoke we all gagged
And it seemed Trump was Uncle Sam's cancer
When the slumbering folk at last finally woke
And realized WHAT they'd elected
They cried out in despair "He's as fake as his hair!"
Our democracy must be protected!"

When Roevember came round and his rep came unwound
As millions rejected his "chosen"
This put him in a snit and he threw quite a fit
In New York his accounts had been frozen!
The Orange Bag o' Pus was tossed under the bus
By those he'd said were "the best people"
And the joyous bells pealed across forest and field
From every bell tower and steeple!

Not exactly a brand new wrinkle

To say whatever you think'll
Help your party to save
The expected "Red Wave"
But, turns out it was just a "Pink Tinkle"!

What is the best link for donating to Sen. Warnock? I just want to be sure he gets 100%

of what is contributed.

ADDENDUM: Thanks to all who responded.

I've gotta say it! When I listen to the FOX folks and the likes of Chris Christie announcing that

"the problem" with Trump is that he "only cares about himself", those little hairs on the back of my neck rise and, through clenched teeth, I say:

"WE knew that in 2015! So did YOU! Why the hell didn't you say it THEN?"

The "Inconvenient Truth" that the pubbies, pundits and pollsters ignored Tuesday:

most Americans CAN walk and chew gum at the same time.

Unlike the spittle-flecked zombies at Trump's rallies, most of us are mostly decent moral people. We have noses that are excellent bullshit detectors and, when we're paying attention, we have an amazingly accurate "inner sense" or "intuition" that sounds an alarm when what a politician says contradicts our reality.

Abortion rights, racism, domestic terrorism, the economy, inflation, climate change, the assault on democracy, January 6th, income disparities---- ALL of these issues were considered by the voters and, in general, they chose Democrats to deal with them.

The message of the midterms was clear: America now recognizes what Trumpism is and they don't want it.

That does not heal our nation, but it could be a start.

We should not "tread on" the Trump cultists; we should begin STOMPING on them.

Obviously, DeSantis has "sinned a great sin" and Hurricane Nicole has been steered toward Florida

to punish him, but WHICH sin was the one that just could not be overlooked?

There are so MANY!

I'll not be visiting the Mouse's House---

Disney will just have to suffer
Mickey was never meant to be
A Ron DeSantis fluffer.
