Gee kids, I know a great new game!

Let's find pictures of women who 1. aren't attractive in a way that conforms to the current ideal, and 2. plan to vote for trump. Then we can talk about how ugly some women are, drag them publicly for their looks, make sweeping proclamations about how we'd never sleep with them, and if anybody tries to complain, say "it's just politics! It's just because of who they're voting for and that makes it okay!"

In before somebody says, "we do the same to some of the men!" or "let's do the same to some of the men!"

The level of misogyny inherent in this is sickening. It is possible to disagree with women politically without making a fuss about how physically ugly you think they are. Just because someone on Twitter gets likes for doing it doesn't make it a laudable thing.

Meet the new plan. Same as the old plan.

The GOP used a Two Santa Clauses tactic to con America for nearly 40 years
This scam has been killing wages and enriching billionaires for decades

The Republican Party has been running a long con on America since Reagan’s inauguration, and somehow our nation’s media has missed it – even though it was announced in The Wall Street Journal in the 1970s and the GOP has clung tenaciously to it ever since.

In fact, Republican strategist Jude Wanniski’s 1974 “Two Santa Clauses Theory” has been the main reason why the GOP has succeeded in producing our last two Republican presidents, Bush and Trump (despite losing the popular vote both times). It’s also why Reagan’s economy seemed to be “good.”

Here’s how it works, laid it out in simple summary:

First, when Republicans control the federal government, and particularly the White House, spend money like a drunken sailor and run up the US debt as far and as fast as possible. This produces three results – it stimulates the economy thus making people think that the GOP can produce a good economy, it raises the debt dramatically, and it makes people think that Republicans are the “tax-cut Santa Claus.”

Second, when a Democrat is in the White House, scream about the national debt as loudly and frantically as possible, freaking out about how “our children will have to pay for it!” and “we have to cut spending to solve the crisis!” This will force the Democrats in power to cut their own social safety net programs, thus shooting their welfare-of-the-American-people Santa Claus.

Good article. Depressing, but a goodie.

Not all states have mail-in ballot tracking, but many do:

https://www.newsweek.com/these-are-states-where-you-can-track-your-mail-vote-1525920

Currently, 39 states and Washington, D.C., have the capability to track mail-in ballots, according to an interactive map published and updated by NBC News. I am so happy that someone convinced him to spare us the sight of his XXXL underoos. 🤦‍♀️

And you know someone (perhaps several someones) did have to spend time convincing him not to put on his little sixth grader dramatic moment. I can't wait until this idiot is gone and we have an actual adult in the presidency again.

They're right. It is reckless to ask anyone to risk death for a political meeting.

It seems almost certain that among those who have been exposed, there is at least one asymptomatic person who has tested positive and does not want to admit it. There's no other reason in the world why they would refuse to take COVID tests. None.

YES!

So glad to see this, especially:

Warnock’s gains came largely at the expense of fellow Democrat Matt Lieberman, who tallied just 3% in the poll. Lieberman faces extraordinary pressure to quit the race and clear the way for Warnock, who is backed by prominent state and national Democratic figures.

Liberman should have dropped out ages ago.

It echoed recent surveys of Georgia’s other U.S. Senate race that show a tight contest between Republican Sen. David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff. Perdue logged 47% in the WSB poll, while Ossoff was at 46%. Libertarian Shane Hazel had about 2%, while an additional 6% of voters were undecided.

C'mon Ossoff. You can do it!

What a slap in the face to the people struggling in hospitals right now.

What a brutal way to ignore that the nation is reeling from over 210,000 deaths.

What a sociopathic, jackass thing to say.

Agreed. That no one around him has taken his phone away speaks volumes

to all of us, as well as to our enemies. trump is a national security issue, now more than ever before. Nancy Pelosi was not playing around when she put the 25th on the table today. I am very glad she did. If Pence needs to have his arm twisted a little bit, so be it. The situation has got to be dealt with and trump's "doctor" should be investigated. I wonder if he will still have a license after this.

Dood. You already had your one shot at infecting Biden.

No one is giving you another chance to infect anyone at a debate. No one trusts a word you say. No one trusts your mealy-mouthed, NDA hobbled doctor either. You declined a virtual debate, your declination was accepted. People made other plans and moved on. Byeee.
