Thank you! Oleander is known to be poisonous.

I can understand how a lab might extract a useful compound from this plant or other somewhat poisonous plants (digitalis/foxglove) but it's not something to encourage people to randomly consume. And we all know oleander will no more treat Covid any more than colloidal silver or hydroxychloroquine but the Fox News crowd is doomed to believe.

This is just as bad as suggesting bleach. Good lord, this man is a killer.

Damn. That feeling when you agree with Liz Cheney.

Edward Snowden is a traitor.

He is responsible for the largest and most damaging release of classified info in US history.

He handed over US secrets to Russian and Chinese intelligence putting our troops and our nation at risk.

Pardoning him would be unconscionable.

Key sentence:

That is why I am calling upon the House to return to session later this week to vote on Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Maloney’s “Delivering for America Act,” which prohibits the Postal Service from implementing any changes to operations or level of service it had in place on January 1, 2020.

Just stopping the carnage is not enough. Mme Speaker is demanding a return of service to that before the tampering started. She and the House Dems are on this.

August 17, 2020

Too right. It is willful destruction of national infrastructure

and blatant election tampering as well. It is most definitely an attack on our country. Mme Speaker is about to take care of business defending the nation and keeping her oath. I trust her, and her allies in the House, to get the job done.

*snerk* Good one. Here's another response about trump cheating at golf:

https://twitter.com/mr_ldap/status/1294669146550972416

At Winged Foot, where Trump is a member, the caddies got so used to seeing him kick his ball back onto the fairway they came up with a nickname for him: “Pele.”

Sad.

Yes! As much early voting as possible

by either requesting/mailing ballots ASAP, dropping off ballots in person, or taking advantage of early voting. Not all states allow every option, so everyone needs to check availability and dates. Get it done as early as you can.

You can always unsubscribe from texts. They will honor it, or people wouldn't

keep recommending the service. From the FAQ:

How do I stop receiving texts?
Text ALERTS to manage the types of alerts you receive, or STOP to cancel the service completely.

I get where you're coming from. I hesitated HARD on giving them my email address, but I don't expect my reps to spam me or refuse to honor an unsub request. If they do, I know how to block them.

I have balked every time on these in the past for the same reason but, like you, this time I did it anyway.

Well that was fast. How convenient to have a way to leave mailboxes in place but still

render them unusable. Someone has already gamed it out, has plans locked and loaded from now to November. It's clear there's a plan C and so on. Hearings will mean nothing unless the source of those plans is revealed, and it's not the dancing tangerine. He is not smart enough, but someone else is, and there must be a paper trail. That trail needs following, and people have to start going to jail or, election or no election, we will no longer have a postal service.

And a good question.

Meanwhile, this is going on as well:

House Dems propose strengthening Congress’ contempt power to break administration stonewalls
https://www.democraticunderground.com/100213913505

I think they ought to go back to threatening arrest by the Sergeant at Arms👇, but this is at least a step in the right direction.

I'm glad he ignores them. It's the rest who pay attention I'm worried about.

Especially Jared, who should never, ever have gotten a security clearance.

It's scary as hell that I'm hoping nobody in the current WH admin is getting real intelligence briefings anymore.
