crickets's JournalDenny Heck underlines the pettiness in going after Biden.
He points out all of the reforms Ukraine is trying to get passed to fight corruption and that the very first one is to add provisions for impeachment to their constitution. Heck says this shows how much integrity Zelensky had to start with his own office as first priority.
Reminds Volker no one wants to be involved in an impeachment, but here we are weighing important decisions about our republic, a republic if we can keep it. Denny Heck is a thoughtful and eloquent man.
Then Jordan opens his mouth and sounds like a needle ripping across a vinyl record, sigh.
In reading replies to tweets
I am struck by the number of people chiming in from all over the world. There are people halfway across the globe, up in the middle of the night to watch this. It just underlines how glad we all should be that Pelosi, Schiff & co are working so hard to get the job done and get it done right.
Notice how during the testimony he was not personally tweeting.
It was all retweets - a way to try to get around being accused of direct tweets intimidating witnesses. It's a transparent workaround, and it was obviously coordinated given the amount of material other Repubs quickly gave him to work with.
One of the many data points showing why he is desperate to keep his tax records hidden.
This one scam alone just boggles the mind. Link to the Mother Jones article mentioned:

Something fishy?
Long, detailed story showing that Solomon is a piece of work, to put it kindly. He has a reputation going back enough years that what happened at The Hill should not have surprised anyone.
PIECE OF THE BERLIN WALL WITH MESSAGE FOR TRUMP GOES ON U.S.-MEXICO BORDER TOUR AFTER WHITE HOUSE RE
Source: Newsweek
"We really learned the hard way in Germany that walls shouldn't be a political solution," Philip Husemann, the managing director of Die Offene Gesellshaft, told Newsweek in an interview on Monday. "Of course, that is the big message we want to send."
Their missive, however, was quickly intercepted by Secret Service members, who were "very clear that they could not accept or deliver this quite heavy letter to President Trump," Husemann said.
Of course, the activist said, he and his fellow organizers had already anticipated that the White House might reject their gift.
"One thing which is interesting is that any gift that the president accepts or gets or receives is automatically not his property, but public property," Husemann said. "So, therefore, we thought, okay, this is not just a present to the president, but to the people, the citizens of the United States."

Disagree, it's far too divisive if we let him go.
I don't know if you lived through Nixon's pardon or not, but I did and let me tell you that won't fly again. The "let it go so the country can move forward and heal" crap was a HUGE mistake and one of the reasons the country is where it is today. Political crime on this level has got to have consequences all the way to the top. Trump can pretend to get as pitifully sick as he likes, he will not escape prosecution.
Line him up with all of the rest, chase down every single one of the involved parties and PROSECUTE or this country will never, ever recover from the ethical rot. Make this impeachment count: take them all out, punish them all. It's not just a question of the health of the country. The world is watching and if we don't thoroughly clean house, we will never be able to hold our heads high abroad again.
Oh, yeah. Pence knew.

That gives me chills, the good kind.
So much for trying to tell us that impeachment is too boring to watch! Any network claiming they are losing viewers by showing the hearings is LYING. They just care more about the ad dollars than civic duty.
The whole world is watching.
I am so proud of Marie Yovanovitch
I don't cry easily, but a few times I have teared up and once outright bawled watching the standing ovation she received. It was a spontaneous outburst letting Congress and the world know that most of us in the US are still sane. Most of us have had more than enough of this nightmare and are relieved that the people are finally being given a platform to stand up to the criminal bully calling himself president. Our proxies: Taylor, Kent, Yovanovitch, and all of the other witnesses to come, are literally pulling our country back from the brink.
There is no way to thank someone enough for Masha's level of patriotism, but Denny Heck's passionate thank-you speech did a darn good job coming close:
