Thank you, Thank You, Wonderful DU'ers.

I couldn't possibly respond to all the heartfelt notes you have left for me to read. For you all to reach out with sympathy, poems, reflections on your own loss of a beloved pet, words of encouragement and caring was more than I ever expected.

What a truly wonderful, caring and yes loving group we have here on DU. Thank you so much. Your kind words are helping me get through waking up this morning with my girl not here to greet me.

Thank you all.

Said Good Bye to my Baby Girl today.

She was a 17 year old cat that I found as a 4 month old Baby Girl kitten in my neighbor’s driveway.

She has been my best buddy ever since.

Because of renal insufficiency in Jan 2022, my vet thought she’d only last 6 months to a year. She hung on much longer. Almost made it to January 2024. But she had a good life those 22 months.

She acquired an upper respiratory infection last month which seemed to clear up after getting an antibiotic injection. Then late last week she was diagnosed with an UTI after I saw blood in her urine.

She got an another antibiotic shot and she seemed to be doing better. Today not so much. Again blood in her urine with a constant need to urinate although there was very little urine. I called the Vet. He pretty much said she was failing. Along with the UTI not responding to the antibiotics and negative results in the blood panel he took last week. So had to make the hard decision.

I am going to miss my girl. But I believe she’s in a better place.

There's a number of text-based conversation network apps. Now THREADS seems to be taking over.

What text-based conversation network app are you currently using?

If you are using more than one, select your favorite.

If you would suggest another similar social texting network what would it be?

Thanks for your participation.

I had been in touch with her until late April. She had been my neighbor and we were friends.

She was one of the few people I could talk to about politics, and we were DU buddies.
She had moved several years ago, but we stayed in touch. She told me she was terminally ill in Feb and then she stopped taking my calls and answering her texts in May. I spoke with her daughter in late May and she told me Ann was in palliative care. My heart is broken to know she is gone. But she knew what her fate was and told me she was OK with it, she had lived a good life. She lost her beloved dog Boogie within the past year, so I know they're having a wonderful reunion.

Rest in peace my friend.

The simplest and best site I've used is photoimage

It is sooo easy.

The picture must be in your picture file first, so copy the picture and save it in your picture file.

Then....

1. Go to POSTIMAGE https://postimages.org/
2. Click on "Choose Image"
3. Open your picture file
4. Double Click on the picture
5. A new page will open on postimage
6. Copy the "Direct Link"
7. Paste the direct Link in your email, post, whatever.

There you have it, done!
