senseandsensibility's JournalI checked out Kristi Noem's twitter page
She has a big glossy post up there advertising her new book where she brags about killing her puppy. She's apparently added some BS about how these things happen on a farm and she's trying to troll the press and her critics about being politically incorrect.
She's disgusting of course, but like all magats she's all in on anything that makes her money and doesn't require any brains. So I think that maybe her publisher will be hearing from people. Because she is getting ratioed like nobody's business and I don't think people are going to let this go.
Joy speaks for me
Said she finds the proceedings on the SC today "liberating." She thinks the court showed their true self today and she no longer has to give them the benefit of the doubt. Basically, they're (the heritage lawyers) are not even PRETENDING to be fair, so it's not necessary even to pretend to respect them.
And that's how I've been feeling for the past few hours as well.
When Thomas didn't recuse
and got away with it with no pushback that we know of from his fellow justices, I should have seen the writing on the wall. Yes, the heritage foundation justices are thin skinned and whine when criticized, but bottom line is they don't care about public opinion.
Even the liberals seem way too worried about being fair to cheato's lawyer. His arguments were in bad faith and dangerous in the extreme and should have been treated as such.
But a court that is going to let Thomas sit on a case his wife is involved in does not take the people's case seriously. And there is no way that they are concerned with even appearing fair.
The Big Picture is never acknowledged
even from the left. The Big Picture, staring us all in the face, bold and undeniable among the thousands of tidbits and dates and data, is that cheato lied and cheated to win the 2016 election. Hillary was robbed. We're not even supposed to think that, let alone say it.
In addition, he was only able to do it because voters in red states believe insane crap on the cover of a tabloid and have no critical thinking skills.
Sorry if I'm being politically incorrect. No, actually, I'm not sorry.
Okay, I'm lost
Trying to follow both cases today the best I can, but I'm doing other things. What's going on with the gag order in the NY case? Did the judge rule on if cheato violated the gag order?
Neal Katyal sounds semi positive about the SC
He thinks total immunity is a non starter. His prediction is that the court is open to some kind of compromise where non official acts are separated from official acts.
He was surprised that cheato's lawyer admitted that some of the acts he was charged with are not official. So he sees that as an opening. He also said that in order for cheato to be liable, the law he is accused of breaking does not have to specifically apply to the President in the statute. He seemed to think that the majority of the court agrees with this.
So, bottom line: he seemed positive but ended with the conclusion that timing will be everything. There's no reason that the above findings have to slow things down, but the court wants them to they will.
So not satisfied with scaring off jurors, Jesse Waters
tonight is egging on Judge Marchan to put cheato in jail, saying that it will be great for him. He's trying to intimidate him by riling up the crazies. Let's hope the magats stay as disengaged as they have been despite Jesse's best efforts.
150K vote for Haley in PA!!
Bad news for cheato. Only Rs could vote and of course, Haley has been out of the race for a LONG time. A significant number of R voters must have been very motivated to show their disdain for the nominee.
Biden's got jokes!
He just said that cheato once advised us to put bleach in our veins to combat covid. Said he must have missed and it all went to his hair instead!
Ridicule is a good weapon for him to use. Leave the really hard hitting stuff for the surrogates.
What do you think Judge Merchan's plan is to deal with
cheato's flagrant disregard for the gag order? I know he's not going to let him keep intimidating witnesses and especially jurors. That would be a miscarriage of justice. He's in a difficult spot, but the longer he waits the harder it will be to find a solution.
Some really bad things could happen if nothing is done. I'm a little perplexed by the lack of action so far.
