Houston and Harris County are still recovering from Harvey. trump wants to use money designated for Houston and Harris County to build his wall https://abc13.com/5050389/?fbclid=IwAR1PeERhzACSNRI-IXqynMhx22DVOazDeSvz33ZN4for9_3E0iAplidZU5Q

The White House is directing the Army Corps of Engineers to find money within its own budget to fund President Trump's border wall under a national emergency declaration, including money earmarked for Hurricane Harvey relief.

Sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News the White House specifically asked the Corps to examine what funds could be redirected to the border wall from a $13.9 billion emergency supplemental designed to fund more than 50 disaster relief projects in California, Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico.

A U.S. official told ABC News the money could be used to build as much as 315 miles of border wall, under the direction of the Army Corps of Engineers.

News came as President Trump made a visit to the border between the U.S. and Mexico at McAllen, Texas, where he met with state officials.

Juanita Jean-Wanna Know Why Trump's Speech Was So Bad?

Yeah for Juanita Jean http://juanitajean.com/wanna-know-why-trumps-speech-was-so-bad/

Here ya go …

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, goofiest guy in Texas, spent the opening day of the legislative session with Donald Trump. He was “helping” Trump with his speech.

In all honesty, it looks more like Trump was helping him.

Patrick was the champion of the bathroom bill during the last legislative session. (In Texas, we only let the legislature meet for 90 days every 2 years. We kinda regret not making it two days every 90 years.) The bathroom bill would have regulated the use of certain public facilities for transgender Texans. Patrick has thrown tirades over the bathroom bills for the past two legislative sessions and was defeated both times.

In 2004 Speech Trump Said That Walls Don't Work

Source: Politicusa

In a 2004 speech to a group of graduating college students in New York Donald Trump told his audience never to let a wall stop them from achieving their goals. He said that they should “never give up” and not let even a concrete wall deter them. Instead he advised:

“If there’s a concrete wall in front of you, go through it. Go over it. Go around it. But get to the other side of that wall.”

Since Trump has shut down one-fourth of the United States government by demanding funding for a border wall with Mexico, his 2004 comments have taken on extra meaning. He has said many times that U.S. border security demands a concrete wall. And now it turns out that he believes such a wall shouldn’t stop anybody from getting what they want.
