How should we reconcile the verbal and written (tweeted) attacks on a free press with the First Amendment of the Constitution? I have trouble doing so and hope that those who have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic recognize this threat.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United StatesHow should we reconcile the verbal and written (tweeted) attacks on a free press with the First Amendment of the Constitution?
