Passengers removed from Spirit Airlines flight at BWI Airport
Passengers removed from Spirit Airlines flight at BWI Airport
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A Spirit Airlines flight at BWI Airport was called back to the gate while taxiing to takeoff early Tuesday morning.
Spirit Airlines confirmed that four passengers were removed from the plane "out of an abundance of caution" after a passenger alerted a flight attendant of a person "engaged in suspicious activity on board."
The airline released the following statement around 9 a.m., and said the flight was scheduled to take off "shortly":
Spirit Airlines flight 969, scheduled for a 6am departure from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) to Chicago O'Hare international Airport (ORD), experienced a delay this morning due to law enforcement activity. While the aircraft was taxiing to the runway, a passenger alerted a flight attendant of a passenger engaged in suspicious activity on board. The flight attendant notified the captain, and out of an abundance of caution, the plane returned to the gate. Law enforcement officers removed four passengers from the plane for questioning. All passengers were deplaned for a brief time. The aircraft and luggage has been cleared by the TSA and the plane is scheduled to take off shortly. All questions regarding the investigation should be directed to the TSA and Maryland Transportation Authority Police.

Ex-CIA director: White House ignored months of warnings about 9/11
Ex-CIA director: White House ignored months of warnings about 9/11 to avoid leaving paper trail of culpability
In an explosive revelation during an interview with Politico, the former CIA director during President George W. Bushs administration claims his department informed White house officials over impending Al Qaeda attacks months before the president received the infamous Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. presidential briefing.
According to ex-CIA head George Tenet and Cofer Black, then chief of the CIAs counterterrorism center, they called an emergency meeting with National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice on July 10 of 2001 saying they had evidence that an attack on the U.S. was imminent and that it would be spectacular.
Beginning in May of 2001, Tenet and Black launched an initiative called the Blue Sky paper and pitched it to Bushs national security team. The CIA called for a joint CIA and military campaign to end the Al Qaeda threat by getting into the Afghan sanctuary, launching a paramilitary operation, creating a bridge with Uzbekistan.
According to Tenet, the Bush administration said they wanted to back-burner the plan.
And the word back, claims Tenet, was were not quite ready to consider this. We dont want the clock to start ticking, meaning they didnt want a paper trail.
According to Black, Bushs national security team was living in the past.
I think they were mentally stuck back eight years [before]. They were used to terrorists being Euro-leftiesthey drink champagne by night, blow things up during the day, how bad can this be? And it was a very difficult sell to communicate the urgency to this, he explained.

Bloomingdale's sorry for ad suggesting you spike friend's eggnog
"Spike your best friend's egg nog when they're not looking," reads the troubling caption.
Though the "best friend" could be the woman in the ad or another person not pictured, either way, insinuating that over-serving someone as a way to get the girl, is totally inappropriate.
"In reflection of recent feedback, the copy we used in our recent catalog was inappropriate and in poor taste. Bloomingdales' sincerely apologizes for this error in judgment," a brand representative told Tech Insider.
But that hasn't stopped people from calling out Bloomingdale's on Twitter.

Mystery heat spots found in pyramids - Maybe it is the grain Ben Carson is talking about
An international team of architects and scientists have observed "thermal anomalies" in the pyramids of Giza, Egyptian antiquities officials say.
Thermal cameras detected higher temperatures in three adjacent stones at the bottom of the Great Pyramid.
Officials said possible causes included the existence of empty areas inside the pyramid, internal air currents, or the use of different building materials.
It comes as experts search for hidden chambers within the pyramids.
The tombs of the pharaohs Khufu (Kheops), Khafre (Khephren) and Menkaure (Mycerinus) were built in the Fourth Dynasty, about 2613-2494BC.

This Oped peice really explains the GOP's war on the voter... New Jersey and Chris Christie
Gov. Christie Doesnt Want Your Vote
New Jerseys voter-turnout rate is among the lowest in the country. During the 2014 midterm elections, 30.4 percent of the states eligible voters went to the polls. Last week, only 21 percent of voters came out the worst showing for a general election in state history.
Thats a big reason state lawmakers in June passed the New Jersey Democracy Act a bill that would make voting easier by, among other things, expanding early-voting opportunities, introducing online registration and, perhaps most significant, automatically registering eligible voters when they get a drivers license, unless they decline.
Automatic registration, which has already passed this year in Oregon and California, could register many of the approximately 1.6 million eligible New Jerseyans who are not currently on the voter rolls.
It is hard to see how anyone could disagree with making it easier for more citizens to vote, but Gov. Chris Christie found a way. On Monday, Mr. Christie, whose 2013 re-election set a state record for the lowest turnout in a race for governor, vetoed the bill on the grounds that it would cost too much, that residents already have plenty of ways to register and that automatic registration would encourage that boogeyman of modern Republican politics voter fraud.
Like other politicians who rely on this tired claim, Mr. Christie, who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, has not presented any actual evidence of fraud. Thats because there isnt any. To the contrary, electronic and online registration decrease opportunities for fraud by generating more accurate and updated voter lists.

Everytime I see an anti Hillary or anti Bernie thread - get turned off and tune out
One of these people will be the Democratic nominee so attacking them, knocking them down and degrading them only hurts the Democratic changes next year.
If you can't post facts about the candidate with links to back those facts up, then don't post it. DU needs to regain some of its credibility. At one time, if you couldn't back up a statement here, you were called out, now all you need is a little luck with a jury if it even goes that far and you can post any slander you want.
Attack without merit and you lose me!
Ben Carson explains other phenomena using his pyramid logic
Dinosaur Bones: Now, some scientists say a space projectile made these great lizard beasts extinct. But I dont think you need aliens when God is with you. My personal theory is that there was no room for these dinosaurs on the Ark. Its a big boat, but these are big guys.
Trace Fossil Footprints: In most fossils you see just one set of prints. So its obvious what the meaning of those is. Every time you see a single set of footprints, that is a time Jesus was carrying you. They are not alien wells, no matter what scientists say.
California: Most people say California is California, but whos to say it isnt the Garden of Eden? Good weather, lots of beasts, fruit that it is only sometimes appropriate for you to eat? That feels true to me. That or, as various of scientists have told me, it is a football field for space ghosts, and I dont really buy that. God doesnt need space ghosts to plant His vines and fig trees.
Colosseum: Most people look at the Colosseum and say, That is the Colosseum. But I think it is the Ark. Dont ask me why it is made of stone and has windows in it and is in Rome. When you have God, you do not need alien technology.
