DU needs a "jumped the shark" smilie or check off

Then, when a thread has completely jumped-the-shark, the op could check that off and it would then be gauche to continue commenting, berating, becoming offended, etc.

While you could still continue sub-threads of "did so" and "did not," most people would know the thread was way past its prime.

Of course you could just delete the thread, that that seems to enrage folks and seems wrong when there are so many replies.
