Help, my new shoes squeak. How to fix.

Casual leather shoes, with laces & rough rubber sole.
Bought about a month ago and they started squeaking after a week.
Not the insole. Got them dusty and dirty and the squeaking stopped.
Today the squeak came back and I am squeaking around the office.
One shoe squeaks all the time, the other about 25% of the time.
All online remedies are total nonsense.
How do I fix this short of throwing them in the trash?
