A fourth person has died from gunshot wounds following a bloody gun battle at a popular Jamaican restaurant over the weekend, officials said.

Details about the fourth victim were not immediately available, said Officer Liliana Preciado, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles police detectives are still working to identify witnesses to Saturday’s chaotic scene during a birthday party at a house in the 2900 block of Rimpau Boulevard, which also serves as an underground Jamaican eatery, she said.

Eleven others were injured in the shooting.

Those killed remained unidentified Monday as coroner’s officials worked to notify their families. All of the dead were male.

Florida Man silences the haterz- lovely story - one in 11 worldwide

<snip>

MIAMI - A student at Ransom Everglades in Miami is just one of 11 students in the world who got a perfect score this year on the AP Calculus BC exam.

"I was very excited. I was very proud. My parents were also very excited," John Mistele said. "I was super excited to sort of have accomplished this not just for myself, but also for my friends and math teachers I’ve had at Ransom."

Ransom Everglades spokeswoman Amy Shipley said Mistele, who is a senior at the school, answered every question correctly on the 3-hour, 15-minute exam, which includes 45 multiple-choice questions and six free-response questions.

"I've worked in independent schools for 36 years, and I've never seen an achievement like this," head of school Penny Townsend said. "We are so proud of John, who works very hard to make the most of his exceptional gifts, and we are also grateful to our outstanding teachers. All of us share in his joy today."

Mistele ranked No. 1 in Florida last year in statistics and earned a perfect score at the Mu Alpha Theta State Championship Conference in Orlando in April.

"Every year, I tell my students that I've heard of these letters that go out to different people when they get a perfect score, but I've never received one," Mistele's math teacher, Dr. Henry Stavisky, said. "That accomplishment was one of my dreams, and he did it."

Politicians running for president are graded by Politfact and the order runs in the way you would expect it to if you find yourself annoyed when Donald Trump is speaking. Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, is at the bottom of the list with a sad 9% of true or mostly true statements. Just 9% of the things Donald Trump says are mostly related to the truth.

Trump lies so much that in 2015, Politifact awarded him the Lie of the Year for numerous statements he made, because the team couldn’t pick the most egregious lie. Out of 77 statements checked, 76 of them were found to be mostly false to false to pants on fire lies.

'Wall' of taco trucks being erected at Trump hotel

A "wall" of taco trucks will be erected outside the Trump International Las Vegas hotel before the final presidential debate there on Wednesday night.

The Culinary Union, an adversary of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, is going to “build” a wall of taco trucks at the hotel, according to BuzzFeed News.

Trump’s hotel is located just a few miles from the site of the debate at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

“We’re reminding Mr. Trump that immigrant workers here and across the country will be watching the debate and voting in November,” Yvanna Cancela, political director for the union, said.

The union has held almost 10 rallies outside Trump’s hotel since December.

Will Bob Dylan snub them? Nobel panel gives up knockin’ on Dylan’s door

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/oct/17/nobel-prize-bob-dylan-unable-to-reach
<snip>
The Swedish Academy says it has given up trying to reach Bob Dylan, days after it awarded him the Nobel prize in literature.

“Right now we are doing nothing. I have called and sent emails to his closest collaborator and received very friendly replies. For now, that is certainly enough,” the academy’s permanent secretary, Sara Danius, told state radio SR on Monday.

So far the American troubadour has responded with silence since he won the prize on Thursday.
Pop lyrics aren't literature? Tell that to Nobel prize winner Bob Dylan

He gave a concert in Las Vegas that very night, but made no mention of the accolade.

In what may have been a veiled allusion to his long-term reputation for what some have called perversity, and others an admirably dogged persistence in forging his own path, Dylan’s set ended with a cover of Frank Sinatra’s Why Try to Change Me Now.
