The right wing's new meme for Joe Biden. "A socialist puppet of China." Get used to it.

Funny I thought Joe was from Delaware and made the state a friendly home
to credit card companies.

Once a right wing talking head or republican politician drops the "A socialist puppet of China,"
if possible we should just end the conversation and or ask how much does Donny T owe to
China and does he still have his secret Chinese bank account that China founded by putting
17.5 million into Trump Hotels in 2017?

3,400 dead Americans and to me it looks like he let the Russians hack America because Trump fired the person
whose job it was to stop that from happening.

Merry Christmas / This is what a hero looks like. Mr. Jack Arends.

Washington State Elector With Terminal Health Issue Tears Up After Voting For Biden
Source: Huffpost

A Washington state elector who has a terminal terminal health issue broke down in tears Monday after casting his vote for President-elect Joe Biden, telling a local media outlet that being an elector is part of making his time left “count.”

Just days after his selection as an elector, 64-year-old Democrat Jack Arends was diagnosed with an inoperable heart valve issue, The Daily Herald reported.

A retired aviation industry analyst, Arends entered the floor of the state Senate in a wheelchair and wearing a brimmed cap reading “Play Nice.” He took a less-than-subtle jab at Trump by bringing two Sharpie markers ― the president’s writing tool of choice on several headline-making occasions ― to cast his vote for Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris... Joe and Kamala are helping to build the party for the future with their picks.

"Biden bets on a diverse Cabinet and staff to handle the problems of a diverse nation"

Women, people of color, people of talent and smarts, people with disabilities, Asians, people
from the sub Continent, gay people, Hispanics, white guys, people from the Caribbean, (K Harris)
young people and although I can't think of any right now but I am sure they will have some Native
Americans & Muslims too.

And best of all they are smart, talented, and experienced and they reflect "the real America."

One of the best and most needed speeches in America's history

Joe's talk was spot on and filled with class*. BTW the professor of law in Joe also called out
Trump and company too. "Go ahead and show us the proof of election fraud." very very
rough quote.

* Biden even called out to "the other side" to come together and work for America

Daily Kos: The Supreme Court has ruled, treat the Republicans like fascists

The Atlantic:

This is why the authoritarian remedies festering in the Trump fever swamps—martial law, the usurpation of state electors, Supreme Court fiat—are so openly contemplated. Because the true will of the people is that Trump remain president, forcing that outcome, even in the face of defeat, is a fulfillment of democracy rather than its betrayal.
The Republican base’s fundamental belief, the one that Trump used to win them over in the first place, the one that ties the election conspiracy theory to birtherism and to Trump’s sneering attack on the Squad’s citizenship, is that Democratic victories do not count, because Democratic voters are not truly American. It’s no accident that the Trump campaign’s claims have focused almost entirely on jurisdictions with high Black populations.

******

Imagine a world where over one-half of the members in the Republican House of Representatives, including the top Republican in that caucus, sign on to a clumsy, thoroughly bogus attempt to overturn a national election based on contrived lies that add up to nothing except the fact that their man lost. Not just “lost,” mind you, but was soundly beaten. Had his ass kicked, in fact, both in the popular vote and the electoral college tally.

And imagine a Republican Senate Majority equally contemptuous of the winner of that election, wielding the power to hold hostage many of the new President’s first official actions—such as the basic function of picking a Cabinet. That Senate uses the excuse that the election was still being “litigated” to stall even scheduling hearings on his Cabinet nominations.

Imagine the outgoing, losing president, doing his level best to sabotage and hamstring the man who beat him in the election, alternatively whining and threatening elected Republican officials, demanding a list of those opposed to him, so that he could single them out for punishment.

And imagine all of this occurring against the backdrop of the worst public health crisis, combined with an equally virulent economic calamity, to hit this country in over a century.

Loeffler disavows photo taken with longtime white supremacist

https://twitter.com/jewishaction/status/1337956225250680836

Sen. Kelly Loeffler’s campaign strongly condemned a photo circulating on social media of her posing with a longtime white supremacist taken at an event in Dawsonville on Friday.

The photo shows Loeffler smiling from beneath an American flag ball cap next to Chester Doles, a longtime white supremacist who spent decades in the Ku Klux Klan and the neo-Nazi National Alliance. He was sentenced to prison for the 1993 beating of a Black man in Maryland and again on weapons violations in Georgia. He also associated with the Hammerskins, a racist skinhead gang with whom he marched in 2017?s violent United the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Doles posted the picture to his account on VK, a Russian social networking site where he has posted pictures of himself posing with other Georgia politicians, including Republican Congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene and Trump-friendly Democratic state Rep. Vernon Jones. Within a few hours, the Loeffler photo had spread to Twitter.

snip

In 2019, Doles started a new organization called American Patriots USA, a group supportive of President Donald Trump but deeply tied to the far-right militia movement. Doles endorsed several longshot political candidates in the 2020 election, but also attempted to tie himself to U.S. Rep.-elect Greene. She had Doles removed from an event in September in Ringgold.
