Lindsey Stirling, Music Box Tour, Full Show on June 22, 2015

I run both my X-Box 1 and my computer through my stereo and then through my 48' TV. (At 60, I absolutely love living here in the future! We are doing things wildly beyond anything I could have imagined as a teenager!)

To call me a Lindsey Stirling fan would be a disservice. I can think of no musician I adore more. I hope she doesn't change even a single note for her show when she comes to Bumbershoot in Seattle next month. As to what I am seeing in this YouTube posting of that show: OH. MY. GOD!
If you are a Lindsey Stirling fan, you are gonna love this. The show starts just before the 2 minute mark. Get comfy and turn it up!

During a conference call Thursday ahead of his Saturday events in Seattle, Sanders said that his focus on issues like the middle class, climate change, criminal justice reform is resonating with voters, and sets him apart from Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Sanders will be at Westlake Park in Seattle Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to speak at a social security and Medicare celebration. That evening, Sanders will appear at a campaign rally to discuss income inequality, climate change and college affordability. The rally will start at 6 p.m. at the University of Washington's HecEdmundson Pavilion.

He's also scheduled to hold a rally at Portland's Memorial Coliseum Sunday night, before heading to an event in Los Angeles Monday.

Requesting information/interpretation re: Marijuana home seizure policy Wa. State

I live in Washington State. We are blessed in that pot laws are becoming lenient. Things are changing here and I wish to know how those changes will affect me. I am a grower, been growing under a three light system for decades. About 4 years ago I moved into my sister's place out in rural Pierce County. My sister lives in Wisconsin, she does not know or care what I do with the place as long as it is kept up, the neighbors don't complain about me and the bills get paid. For 4 years she has been happy with me about this set up.

New Washington State Laws are either in affect or going into affect that states we growers are not to have more than 15 plants in our grow ops. I've a brother who lives nearby who DOES know what I am doing and he is doing everything in his power to scare the hell out of me about my growing pot. He claims that under these new laws Washington State will seize my sister's property and take away my Veterans disability pension My question is: What are the odds of the State the County or even the Federal Government coming in, discovering my little grow op and screwing over my sister, (who knows nothing about pot or my growing it), or me in light of these new laws?

Could President Sanders bring back JFK's Physical Fitness Program for kids?

I remember as a child participating in this program, it was tougher than hell for me but I gave it my best anyway. With childhood obesity as a serious societal problem wouldn't it make sense to see something like this brought back into use?

http://www.jfklibrary.org/JFK/JFK-in-History/Physical-Fitness.aspx

Secondly, if this program actually does make current sense, could it not be a nice 'plank' to add to Senator Sanders' speeches in his bid for the nomination? I suspect the good Senator remembers this program as well as many of you here, I have to imagine that he is just as concerned about child obesity as everyone else is. I should add that discussions about getting such a program underway would quickly lead our nation into further discussions about what we are eating too.

Overall I think it is a non-partisan win for whomever starts talking about initiating such a program but maybe I've missed something, I'd like to hear what my fellow Sanders supporters think

As an artist, how do you know when you have finally 'arrived'?

When you get a gig with The Muppets of course!

"My life would be worthless without music."

"My life would be worthless without music", is taken as a direct quote from a young lady musician in the first video below. Straight from the slums of Paraguay, may I present a group of music loving kids known as the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra:

Below is Lindsey Stirling, (violinist, dancer, darling of YouTube) featuring the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra:

Best DU Poll Ever! Reposting to the Bernie Sanders Group

As you all likely know, fellow DUer Logical posted this little DU Poll:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6592890

Every now and then I keep checking back and to my astonishment it is still active and the numbers are growing. Ok so maybe I am guilty of telling folks about it too. I've even tried to get 'moonlighting' DU members to come take a look at it, to maybe add their names....so far Brad Friedman, (Bradblog) and Thom Hartmann, (The Thom Hartmann Show) haven't weighed in but I keep hoping.

I suspect there are DUers who would prefer that Logical's Poll fade off into the sunset and be forgotten. Well fading off to the sunrise of the Sanders group should likely prevent that from happening. It is my opinion that this poll can prove quite worthy of citation when debating our position here at DU. I suggest not being mean in regards to our fellow DUers 'across the aisle', as you well know Senator Sanders sets for us the example to follow. I further suggest it's use as a tool, as an inspirational reminder to us all that we are not alone here in 'our' forum....if you click on the tab that says 'show usernames' in that poll you will better appreciate just whose forum this is!

About chknltl

I am a fulltime chaperone to an aging pit-bull. She loves pigs-ears purchased from Stewerts Meat Market, long walks anywhere, feeding time and tummy rubs. We both enjoy disc golf, (golf with baskets instead of holes and fancy frisbees instead of golf balls), but for entirely different reasons. Fortunately for all she never acquired a taste for frisbees but she is a sucker for thrown rope-toys and balls. Her goal in life is to see an end to the nuisance that causes some toys to squeak when pressed by her chaperone. After the squeak has been eliminated, the toy is safe to be played with by anyone else because regardless of price it holds no further interest for her. Lastly: that is my real last name which means I can get away with calling myself a card carrying chick!
