I'm reading Michelle Obama's book.

I'm about 300 pages in, but can only read small sections at a time. Being reminded of the class we traded in for the worst trash ever makes it hard to get through. Reading about how well we treat our presidents and their families and how much the Obamas appreciated it, only to have the current squatters shit all over everything, depresses me.

So I read a few pages, get a little nostalgic for what we had, and then have to put it down. I miss the Obamas SO MUCH. I miss having a real president, a smart president, a compassionate president ... all the things Barack Obama was and is. And I miss having a classy FLOTUS and well-mannered kids and joy in our White House. This book is a huge reminder of how far we have fallen.

That being said, it is a fascinating book. I'm thinking that if we ever get a real president again and honor is restored to the office, I may be able to read it again and enjoy it a bit more.

Anyone else respond to it like this?
