Stink Bigly Bigly is a lot like this movie character

Trump always reminded me of Al Pacino's Big Boy Caprice from "Dick Tracy." If you to to the IMDb link below with Caprice quotes, you'll see why. It's kind of scary.

Such an insult on today of all days

As the nation celebrates the extraordinary man who forced the U.S. to recognize its constitutional obligations to all citizens, the news coverage is of Iowa voters who see white nationalism as the American Dream. They are defenders of the Old White American Order in which white Christian men sit atop a social hierarchy and decide which rights go to which Americans. They don't want competition so they assail the notion of diversity, equity, and inclusion which they claim is unfair to them. That should say it all.

Police release video of officer shooting boy, 11, who had called 911 for help

Source: NPR

Body camera video released by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation shows the moment an 11-year-old boy was shot and wounded by a police officer last May in his home after calling authorities for help.

Officials in Mississippi made the footage available this week after calls for its release from Aderrien Murry's mother, Nakala Murry, and the family's attorney.

An alert on a misinformation source

Lichnews.com is the source of posts you may have seen saying X celebrity turns down X product endorsement saying "I'm not saving your woke brand."

So far I've seen Denzel Washington turning down Target and Stallone turning down Bud Light. In each case the same quote is used. Fact-checking each of these headlines results in write-ups citing the original stories as news from a "satire" website. That website is lich.com whose satire seems to be the source of a lot of misinformation.

Clearly, it isn't really satire. The intent is to spread maga misinformation without looking like it's actually trying to spread maga misinformation.

So since it's not true, expect to see one of these stories on a Fox News segment soon.

Some facts about presidential approval

Below are Gallup's average presidential approval ratings from Bush 1 on.

G.H.W. Bush 60.9%
Clinton 55.1%
W. Bush 49.4%
Obama 47.9%
Trump 41.1%
Biden (to date, 43%)

https://news.gallup.com/poll/329384/presidential-approval-ratings-joe-biden.aspx

You may notice that with each successive president, average approval has gone down with the exception of Biden who has yet to complete his first term. Three of those five presidents who sought reelection won. The one with the highest average approval lost his reelection bid but he ran with a recent economic downturn fresh in people’s minds.

There’s a lot that goes into presidential approval, including the increasing dissatisfaction a lot of people have in their own lives perhaps leading to scapegoating. In this way, presidential DISapproval has become fashionable. One thing presidential approval has not been is a predictor of election outcomes especially before the general election gets underway.

It is a certain frustration when the one major candidate that is actually promoting Democracy is polling below 40%, but that is far from the full picture. That doesn’t mean the challenger will win, especially if, say, Americans are reminded that that challenger lies to them as a normal course or, say, illegally squirreled away America’s top secrets in his bathroom. And so on. Some other things may come up in the election process (ahem, reproductive freedom) that will have a high likelihood of moving the needle in favor of the 39% guy. Just saying.

The funny thing about Nikki Haleygate

Her Republican opponents are suddenly black history experts calling out how wrong she was for not mentioning slavery as the cause of the Civil War. But If Smelly Cheeto had made the same inaccurate remarks they would all be obediently silent. Zero character on that side.

There's a reason Stinky isn't suing over Stenchgate

He would have to be DEPOSED!
Keith Schiller his diaper caddy would have to be DEPOSED!
Crew from The Apprentice would have to be DEPOSED!

How embarrassing would that be?
But this could be an overestimation over his ability to be embarrassed. Stay tuned.
