Horrifying footage has surfaced of a nanny in Uganda violently beating an 18-month-old toddler and throwing her to the floor.
Dad Eric Kamanzi watched the disturbing nanny-cam video after noticing bruises on his daughter's body. Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, has been charged with attempted murder for the assault on the child in Kamanzi's Kampala home.
The enraged father reportedly assaulted the nanny, but police refused to press charges against him.
The dad shared the nanny-cam video with family members, who passed it on to their friends. The video has since gone viral and has been viewed more than 21 million times on Facebook, according to the BBC.
"Personally, I prefer my privacy but I'm sure I helped a lot of people out there and on that note I'm happy that the video is out there," Kamanzi told BBC.

Florida woman in 'stand your ground' case takes plea deal for shorter sentence
A Florida woman who'd been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in a "stand your ground" case accepted a plea bargain Monday that greatly reduces her sentence.
The 20-year sentence came in a case in which the woman, a mother of three, said she was attempting to flee her husband on August 1, 2010, when she picked up a handgun and fired a shot into a wall. Nobody was struck by the bullet.
After having the initial conviction overturned, Marissa Alexander was sentenced Monday to 65 days in jail on two counts of aggravated assault, with credit for time already served since her 2012 conviction. She will also serve two years under house arrest, and she agreed to wear a monitoring device.
She will be sentenced later on a third aggravated assault count.
"She was sitting in prison with a 20-year sentence," one of her lawyers, Bruce Zimit, told CNN affiliate WJXT. "Bottom line, she's going to be finishing the case with a three-year sentence plus whatever else the judge does at sentencing" on the third count.

Tell them you accept their apology for endlessly pounding the drum of Benghazi when even the Republican House now admits that there was nothing scandalous there. Reassure them that the president is wholly within his authority to defer deportations on 5 million undocumented immigrants -- but encourage them to demonstrate really loudly against this executive action so that Democrats can win the Latino vote for a generation.

And conservatives, please, challenge your lefty family members. Boast proudly of your well-fought electoral victories this fall. Point out how, despite all its populist propaganda, the White House has still managed to deliver only full economic recovery for the country’s wealthiest, while everyone else struggles. Embarrass the liberals with jokes about the administration’s screw-ups on Obamacare, Iraq and the Veterans Administration. Encourage them to keep overreaching so that your party can take the White House in 2016.
Whatever side you’re on, remember that if you’re sitting one on one with someone you disagree with, your goal is to learn more about their point of view -- but if you’ve got other people watching the debate, your goal is to win over people who haven't made up their minds or who have less strong opinions.
Poll - most believe Ferguson cop should be charged with something, 63% support peaceful protests
Most Americans agree that Wilson should at least face some form of criminal charges, the poll finds.
A combined total of 32% say a Missouri grand jury should charge Wilson with murder, while 25% say he should face lesser criminal charges and 21% say he should be charged with no crime at all.
The CNN/ORC International survey of 1,045 Americans was conducted Nov. 21-23 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Addressing a meeting in Istanbul on women and justice, Erdogan said men and women are created differently, that women cannot be expected to undertake the same work as men, and that mothers enjoy a high position that only they can reach.
“You cannot bring women and men into an equal position; this is against nature,” Erdoğan said according to Today's Zaman. “You cannot subject a pregnant woman to the same working conditions as a man. You cannot make a mother who has to breastfeed her child equal to a man. You cannot make women do everything men do like the communist regimes did… This is against her delicate nature.”
"They talk about equality between men and women. The correct thing is equality among women and equality among men. But what is particularly essential is women's equality before the justice [system]," he said. "What women need is to be equivalent, rather than equal; that is, justice."

Erdogan added: "Motherhood is the highest position ... You cannot explain this to feminists. They don't accept motherhood. They have no such concern."
Lawyer and women's rights activist Hulya Gulbahar said Erdogan's comments were in violation of Turkey's constitution, Turkish laws and international conventions on gender equality and didn't help efforts to stem high incidences of violence against women in Turkey.
"Such comments by state officials which disregard equality between men and women play an important role in the rise of violence against women," Gulbahar said. "Such comments aim to make women's presence in public life — from politics to arts, from science to sports — debatable."

tourist fined $24K for carving "K" into Rome's Colosseum
The price of being a dumb tourist just went up.
Authorities in Rome have slapped a 20,000 euros ($24,800) fine on a Russian tourist caught carving his name into one of the city's most famous historic landmarks.
The 42-year-old man was apprehended on Friday after a guard at the Colosseum, the Roman amphitheater in the center of the city, saw him carve the letter "K" in a section of brickwork.
After police caught up with him, the man was found guilty of causing "aggravated damage," fined and given a four-month suspended sentence.
The graffiti was found on a ground floor section of the nearly-2,000 year-old structure where restoration work was taking place, according to the Italian ANSA news agency.
"The damage to the monument is notable," site superintendent Mariarosaria Barbera told ANSA.
"The incision cut out part of the surface of the structure and compromises its conservation and image."
ANSA says the Russian was the fifth tourist caught carving graffiti on the Colosseum's walls this year.

About 200 people rallied in Nairobi on Monday over the alleged stripping of a miniskirt-wearing woman last week.

India tea workers drag plantation owner out of pay negotiations & killed him

The owner of the Sonali tea estate in West Bengal was dragged out of talks on Saturday. He died after being beaten up and stabbed by a crowd.
Police say Rajesh Agarwal had gone to pacify the workers who had reportedly not been paid for two or three months. Two men and five women have been held.
Many workers in India's tea plantations are malnourished and poorly paid.
Several incidents of attacks on tea executives by workers have been reported in recent years.
In 2012 a tea plantation owner and his wife were burned to death in the neighbouring state of Assam.
Indian is the world's second-largest tea producer after China.

It turned out to be the wrong driveway. The homeowner, Phillip Sailors, emerged from the home and fired a warning shot with his .22 pistol. As Diaz began to drive away, Sailors fired again, striking Diaz in the head and killing him.
Despite these circumstances, police arrested Diaz's girlfriend and their two friends and held them overnight. This week, Sailors pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, and will have one year of probation and be charged a $500 fine.
