TLC Ratings Skyrocket After Taking ’19 Kids & Counting’ Off The Air — from 269 to 484 million

Sorry Duggars! TLC Ratings Skyrocket After Taking ’19 Kids & Counting’ Off The Air — Headed For Permanent Cancellation?
All news is good news for TLC. The network bounced back from the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo pedophile scandal earlier this year, and now, RadarOnline.com has learned, the Josh Duggar sex confession has only made ratings higher! According to the latest Nielsen figures, TLC saw a jump in viewers after taking 19 Kids & Counting off the air last month. Could this spell doom for the Duggars?

The Duggars’ show, 19 Kids & Counting, has been a staple for the network since its debut in 2008, consistently breaking network ratings records. The season premiere on February 17 brought in 3.3 million viewers during a week that saw 447 million total viewers for the network, according to Nielsen ratings.

Nielsen ratings for the week ending on May 24 show a slight dip in viewers to 269 million, despite the fact that the network aired the series finale on May 19, and a 19 Kids & Counting marathon on May 21. And by the next week — the first full week without the show on air — ratings skyrocketed to 484 million!

Minneapolis teen charged with murder after stomping girlfriend’s crying daughter to death

Source: nydaily

Cody Feran-Baum, 17, admitted to investigators he kicked little Sophia O’Neill in the back, laid her on the floor and stomped on her back, authorities said.

“It was, it was bad,” Feran-Baum said when asked how hard he’d kicked the tot. “It was hard.”

The vicious blows split the girl’s left kidney and pancreas in two, ripped her liver loose from a ligament, fractured eight ribs and collapsed a lung.

Feran-Baum, who is not Sophia’s father, was babysitting on June 9 while the mother left the house.

The little girl started to scream and cry for her mom, and Feran-Baum claimed he couldn’t get her to stop. He tried a time out, food and putting the girl down for a nap.

-----------

But the grandfather told investigators the teen had never been around children and couldn’t understand why a child would cry. The grandfather had advised the boy to be patient

can you spot the drowning kid in this crowd? the life guard did.

Fortunately a quick-thinking lifeguard spots the commotion and blows her whistle before diving in the pool.
Using her lightening quick reflexes she manages to swim to the boy's aid within 10 seconds.
She quickly lifts the boy so his head and shoulders are out of the water and then she pats him on the back to ensure his lungs are clear.
Once the young boy has composed himself the lifeguard starts to swim over towards the side of the pool with the boy clinging on to a flotation device.
The man filming the footage can be heard saying to a member of pool staff: 'That was real.. I mean that was way out.. have you stopped it yet?'

Angry Dad Left Baby in a Bean Field in Middle of the Night, refused to tell where she was

community’s frantic search for a 6-month-old baby girl who was taken by her father after he argued with her mother ended in the wee hours of the morning when deputies found the child in a soybean field.

The child, named Karma, was found in rural Champaign County about 10 miles east of Champaign. The deputies found her at 1:47 a.m. as they trudged through the wet field on a rainy night. The baby’s 23-year-old father argued with her 24-year-old mother on Thursday morning at about 11 a.m., according to the sheriff’s department, and then he drove away in the mom’s SUV with the baby.

The community rallied to help find the missing infant, with many people calling in tips to police. An Illinois State Police airplane and police dogs were used in the search. The father was found at about 8 p.m. but refused to give investigators any information, according to the sheriff’s department.

Around midnight, police considered suspending the search due to the dark and the difficult conditions but pressed on when new information came in. The News-Gazette in Champaign reports that someone spotted the father’s car, which led deputies to search the field.

Deputy Chad Beasley found the baby about 200 yards from the road, according to the sheriff.

cop shot wife to death today..hugged and comforted by fellow cops immediately after, patted on back

Neptune Township, New Jersey police officer named Phillip Seidle allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife in the presence of their seven-year-old daughter on Wednesday—and reports say that other law enforcement agents on the scene took no action to stop Seidle from firing shots at the victim in their presence, with some officers even hugging and comforting him when he surrendered. From a NJ.com account that quotes prosecutor Marc LeMieux:

_____
Tamara Seidle crashed her Jetta into an unoccupied green Ford Focus, LeMieux said. At that time, LeMieux said, Phillip Seidle got out of his car, took out his .40- caliber Glock service handgun and fired "several" shots into Tamara's Seidle's car.

LeMieux said that Seidle fired again at his wife after his daughter was taken away by fellow officers, and confirmed the accounts of witnesses who told the Asbury Park Press that no attempt was made to use force against Seidle as he fired this second round of shots:

Good Samaritan Prevents Burglary, So a Cop Killed His Beloved Family’s Dog, Who Was on a Leash!

Friday, Tyler Muzzi noticed a suspicious man on their dead-end street snooping around his neighbors house. Muzzi then called the neighbor to alert him to the possible burglar.

The property owner in turn called the Cleveland police.

When police showed up, they found the suspect and placed him in the back of the patrol car. At this point, Muzzi heard two gunshots and thought that police may have been shooting at the suspect, but he was wrong.

Miller, the family’s 18-month-old yellow labrador retriever was playing in the Muzzi’s backyard during the police department’s investigation. The two shots Muzzi heard came from a cowardly officer and were fired into their beloved Miller.

Had this dog attacked the officer, or attempted to attack the officer, he may have been justified in shooting him. However, Miller was restrained on a leash! The leash was attached to a runner which was strung up between two trees in the Muzzi’s backyard.

Washington father walks in on day care worker sexually assaulting daughter, 5

Washington father walks in on day care worker sexually assaulting daughter, 5

A Washington father walked in on a day care worker sexually assaulting his 5-year-old daughter, police said.

Ian William Moore, 30, was arrested Friday after a man went to pick up his daughter at Kid's Country Day Care in Normandy Park, where he found Moore and the girl "crouched behind a bookshelf," KOMO News reported.

Moore reportedly told the man they there were having a "tickle fight," but the girl later told her father that Moore had touched her inappropriately beneath her underwear, police said.

The father told the day care center about the June 5 incident and the facility reported the allegations to Child Protective Services.

Police claim she dangled her son over the railing at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, leading him to fall about 10 feet and break his leg. He was uninjured by the cheetahs.

Schwab, 37, cried in front of the Cleveland Municipal Court judge, saying the events that day happened so fast.

Michelle Schwab, the mother accused of dropping her 2-year-old son into the cheetah exhibit at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. WKYC
While Judge Ronald Adrine said he understood that it was traumatic to see her son fall, he still chastised her.

"I have a lot of concerns that this event took place, to put a child on top of an enclosure," Adrine said. "It's a scary proposition and it's unconscionable."

Schwab's probation will also include a period of supervision and counseling "to ensure we move forward and your parenting skills are shored up," Adrine added.

79-year-old woman says officer pushed her

Her son, Arturo Pleitez, has been arrested many times. He’s used drugs, he drinks, he causes problems, his family said. Police have been inside his 79-year-old mother’s house multiple times in the past, but never before has she been the subject of police action.

That changed on Friday evening, said Pleitez’s mother, Ligia Berroteran, an elegant, slight woman who still seems dazed by what happened after police, in pursuit of her 55-year-old son, entered her home.

Berroteran said that a policewoman, one of seven involved in subduing her son, grabbed her and pushed her against the wall. Bruises now cover her neck, arm and head. An earlier leg injury, she said, has worsened.

The police report tells a similar story of the struggle between Pleitez and officers that ended in the hallway of his mother’s home, but differs in one instance –how his mother ended up covered in bruises.

____

Berroteran’s complaints focus on one female officer. Once she had been pushed against the wall, she said, other officers helped the wisp of a woman to an armchair in her living room.

One tried to handcuff her, Berroteran said, but then stopped after she protested. An ambulance was called and Berroteran was treated at San Francisco General Hospital; she was released early Saturday morning. She’s now recovering at home and trying to piece together how she ended up a victim. Berroteran said she has never been arrested for anything – that she drove for sixty years and never received a ticket.

Berkeley balcony was decorative, for a person to stand on and get fresh air

The small balconies at the Library Gardens apartment complex in Berkeley were designed more as decoration than a sturdy platform to entertain large groups of friends, according to a member of the Berkeley Design Review Committee that approved the project in 2001.

“It was definitely not large enough to be what the city would call an ‘open space balcony,’ where groups of people could stand outside,” said Carrie Olson, whose 14-year stint on the review committee termed out last year. “This was meant just to be a place where someone could stand out for bit, get a breath of fresh air. Not for something like 13 people.
