Adsos Letter
Adsos Letter's JournalWhat a gorgeous day it is.
I hope everyone in the California group gets a chance to spend at least a little time outside today.
A few images from the Port of Oakland.
There is a small park w/walkingtrail along the shore at the Port of Oakland. The port is south of the Bay Bridge, so the view of the bridge and the San Francisco waterfront are a bit different than the more common tourist advertising shots. This was my fist visit out there.

I live within a stone's throw of this place (literally) "...the largest brackish water marsh on west coast of the United States of America." If you're interested, you can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suisun_Marsh
Brazos Drawbridge
We have been getting hammered with rain the last few days, and it is expected to continue through the weekend.

Random stuff
The second oldest structure in Solano County is an adobe built by Lansford Hastings (of Donner Party fame) in 1846. I wish I could show you the structure, but I discovered (to my chagrin) that what remains of it sits behind a locked gate.

In any case, the road out there passes over the Rio Vista Gas Fields, and the Montezuma Hills Wind Farm. I took these on the way there. That is Mt. Diablo peeking up (or should I say "peaking" up) over the horizon in the center distance in the first image below:

I don't know what causes the white cloudiness at the base of the windmills in the last image. It isn't there in the original, but as soon as I start to correct for exposure and contrast it shows up. It has happened on just about every image I've ever taken out there.
