Hillary Clinton Shows Her ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ In Iowa
Fresh off her stomping of the GOP in this week’s congressional hearings and a big debate performance last week, Hillary Clinton capped a great day in Iowa rallying democrats with what might be one of the best if not the best speech of her career. Clinton came to the stage with Katy Perry’s ‘Eye of the Tiger’ blasting. Unlike GOP candidates, who have repeatedly been embarrassed by pop stars threatening to sue candidates or issuing ‘cease and desist’ letters after their songs were used, Clinton not only had the approval of Perry, the singer was in the audience after doing a free concert earlier for the candidate. I think that means she approves of Clinton’s message.
Clinton began talking about the differences between the GOP and the Democrats. Mainly highlighting the low brow snipes that have been commonplace on the right vs an honest exchange of ideas and tackling issues Americans care about from the Democrats.

She spent the rest of the speech talking about solutions for the American people. Because, as she put it (in the 2nd video below) ‘it’s not enough to just rail against republicans.’
Clinton channelled her husband when she borrowed one of his classic lines when she said ‘there is nothing wrong with America that can’t be fixed by what is right with America.’
The glow sticks waved by people in the crowd made a great visual as Clinton spoke on issue after issue. She restated that she is a ‘progressive who likes to get things done.’ That line brought thunderous applause — but then again, so did most of the speech. Clinton spoke for about 30 minutes, but it really didn’t seem like it. She had the crowd on their feet for a good part of the speech, some people never sitting down. I suspect even some Sanders and O Malley supporters even joined in.
