FBI Suspects Russia Hacked DNC; U.S. Officials Say It Was to Elect Donald Trump

FBI Suspects Russia Hacked DNC; U.S. Officials Say It Was to Elect Donald Trump
Did the Russian government hack the DNC to bring down Hillary Clinton? That’s the view that’s quickly emerging inside American intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
WRITTEN BY SHANE HARRIS & NANCY A. YOUSSEF 07.25.16 12:51 PM ET

The FBI suspects that Russian government hackers breached the networks of the Democratic National Committee and stole emails that were posted to the anti-secrecy site WikiLeaks on Friday. It’s an operation that several U.S. officials now suspect was a deliberate attempt to influence the presidential election in favor of Donald Trump, according to five individuals familiar with the investigation of the breach.

The theory that Moscow orchestrated the leaks to help Trump, who has repeatedly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and practically called for the end of NATO, is fast gaining currency within the Obama administration because of the timing of the leaks and Trump’s own connections to the Russian government, the sources said on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing and developing quickly.

Russia's Apparent Attempt To Hijack the U.S. Presidential Election Is the Biggest Story of the Year

If you're not furious about this, you're either not paying attention or you're completely missing the point.
CHEZ PAZIENZA 8 HOURS AGO

Let's just skip right to the point here: There aren't enough hyperbolic adjectives to truly and properly express just how big a deal it is that Russia is almost certainly behind the hack of the Democratic National Committee and that the goal of that hack was likely to throw the presidential election for Donald Trump.

STOP YELLING OVER ELIJAH CUMMINGS AND SHOW SOME GODDAMNED RESPECT (Wonkette)

By Rebecca Schoenkopf - July 25

Elijah Cummings! Wonkette’s legislative badass of the year! THAT Elijah Cummings! A fuckin’ HERO!

I like Bernie. Every Wonker does, it is the law. But some of his delegates are being horrifying, and if you want to talk about “privilege” (which, face it, I usually don’t!) then the white children drowning out the black lady congressman and the black congressman need to take a look in the fucking mirror.

It’s not funny, it’s not cute, and if YOUR democracy “looks like” this, go be a fucking Trumpkin and you can be the anti-democratic authoritarian you so clearly wish to be while shouting down your fucking betters. You know you want to, you fucking little pricks.

Study Finds Drop In Prescription Drugs In Medical Marijuana States

Study Finds Drop In Prescription Drugs In Medical Marijuana States
They also saw $165.2 million in Medicare savings.

States looking for a way to reduce Medicare spending and prescription drug use may want to turn to legalizing medical marijuana, a new study suggests.

The District of Columbia and the 17 states that had medical marijuana as an alternative to prescription drugs in 2013 saved an estimated total of $165.2 million in Medicare program and enrollee spending that year, researchers at the University of Georgia reported in the journal Health Affairs this month.

“The results suggest that if all states had implemented medical marijuana the overall savings to Medicare would have been around $468 million,” a press release on the findings stated.
