Howard Lorber, a Manhattan developer and executive chairman of Nathans Famous Inc., the hot dog company, is hosting a fundraiser for President Donald Trump in the Hamptons, according to two people familiar with the event.
Trump will attend both a roundtable with supporters and a luncheon at Lorbers home in Southampton on Friday, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the presidents trip hasnt been publicly announced.
Last year, Trump described Lorber as one of his two best friends. In 1996, Trump and Lorber traveled to Moscow together to explore business opportunities.
Lorber was an economic adviser to Trumps 2016 presidential campaign. And the president last year appointed him chairman of the board of trustees for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.

Operation Migration Resigns From WCEP & Dissolves Organization
Source: Operation Migration
Operation Migration took flight 25 years ago when two artists-turned-aviators developed a method of teaching birds a new migratory route. The innovative approach helped stabilize the dwindling population of the magnificent Whooping crane.
Bill Lishman and Joe Duff developed the aircraft-guided migration method into an effective means of reintroducing endangered Whooping cranes into an area they had not inhabited in over a century.
<SNIP>
The aircraft-guided migration method was ended in the fall of 2015 when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service published a document titled FWS Vision for the Next 5-year Strategic Plan that claimed the method was too artificial. They suggested that cranes raised by our costumed handlers resulted in inattentive parents that did not adequately protect their offspring.
We continued work for another 3 years based upon our belief that the goal of a self-sustaining Eastern Migratory Population of Whooping cranes was attainable. However, with new management directives authorized by the Whooping Crane Recovery Team and implemented by Region 3 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, we no longer believe this goal to be achievable

The article details Operation Migration's successes at re-introducing whooping cranes to areas where they had not been seen for decades. As Florida resident, I am happy to know that they brought whoopers back to my state. I hope the fragile population that return every year can survive.
Is the military parade for Dolt45 still on? When?
I was thinking about it when Dolt refused to say Senator John McCain's name while signing a bill named for the senator.
During the parade the different branches of the military, especially the Navy should carry tributes - banners, photos, whatever is allowed under military code - honoring Senator McCain and his service to the US.
While I do not agree with most of McCain's politics, I never doubted that he is loyal to the oath he swore to uphold the Constitution and to defend this country. Dolt45's pettiness in refusing to even say his name pisses me off and should piss off every person in this country especially our military.
It would be wonderful if Dolt's wet dream of a military parade shoves this petty act back in his face!
