THANK YOU

There are threads I agree with and say hell Yeah, and there are one I agree with because they articulate a pain so well I weep. This is the latter. I know I will offend many, but I really hate dealign with the fact that many of my fellow "liberals", the ones that, unlike me, have NO CLUE what it is like to be called a spic, or not have money, chastise ME as if my vote for Obama is some proof I am a right wing scumbag. I really love the ones with the EXPENSIVE Che Guevara shirts and cups, the expensive Clove or Herbal cigarettes, who are the same people that would withold tips because they were not feted by us less wealthy underlings. You think we dark-skinned folk do not notice that even at left wing charities, certain people give the orders and certain people get the coffee?

And let us not even talk about people like Nader and Jane Hamsher that TAKE GOP MONEY and act like they have the moral high ground! It is one thing to oppose Obama, but the minute they took one red cent from the GOP, they flushed their cred down the toilet!

Ted Rall blathers about how anyone voting left is in the way of revolution, and his little posters gleefully talk of executing democrats! Of course, they also talk of hooking up with the libertarians, gee, as all the legalized dope they would smoke with them would somehow mitigate the way they would hand this country over to corporations! Yeah Ted, smoke a bowl with the Libertarians, make your jokes about Obama being an affirmative action president (and yes you did), and the libertarians can blow your head off, and make a profit!

If you want your damn third parties, get some lower offices. If Jesse the Body Ventura can make himself a governor of a large state using Ross Perot's traveling circus, then no third party has an excuse!

If I seem mad, I will tell you why. I know if that Mitt steals this election, the first thing they will do is say "this proves that unless you obey us and grovel, you will never win an election again!" Of course, they ignore that ther MSM will say "this proves that Obama was too far left!" Watch the Rahm Emmanuels and Hillary Clintons run in 2016, and watch them win because Mitt ------>WILL<------- do Damage that a century will not heal!

If Romney wins: a Eulogy for America I hope never to give.

Personally, I hope that next week, I will be reading this letter, and laughing as it was not needed. However, I write this in the hopes that someone who is "on the fence" will realize that while there are are times to ponder and vacillate, this is NOT one of them.

(skip ahead to next Tuesday)

So, Mitt won. Granted, there are still complaints that in Ohio and Florida, he stole the vote, but we all know Justice Scalia will have his gavel at the ready, just like he did last time. The MSm is doing their best to crown him, even those fine folks at MSNBC are chiming in. There is analysis, many saying Obama went too far right, but many more saying he went too far left, and of course, this proves that we really are a right-leaning nation. Blah Blah Blah..

Save you and I know that is BS. If anything, we wanted more left leaning, not the Svoet Union mind you, but more like FDR. Of course, FDR was attacked from both left and right, the right called him a traitor and actively planned coups, the far left called him a capitalist pig who was spoiling their plans for revolution. History repeated itself again, only this time, a media machine that would have made Stalin and Hitler jealous led the way. It's toxin seeped so deep into our bloodstream it dissolved the marrow of our bones. Even the internet was not safe, as both the paid operatives and the useful idiots gleefully seeded message boards with bait, meant to turn people who should have worked together into mortal enemies.

Of course, there was also the fact that America still refused to let go of her demons. Even some "liberal" types still felt Obama did not deserve to win, even a left winger like Ted Rall used the term "affirmative action" president. Many Americans of "European descent" saw in Obama a future where they were NOT the default leaders anymore, and it scared them. Of course, they feel for the bait they were fed, insisting that they were "not racist", while the sides of their mouth were dripping with said bait fromtheir mouths. America's evangelical bigots weighed in, holding their nose and voting "for the Mormon, not the Muslim." The Churches proved that not only is the separation of church and state a joke, but that they are a means of state repression, brainwashing and stealing in a way that, again, would have made Stalin and Hitler green with envy.

Of course, the far left did not help, nor did the center left. The far left still talked about how after the revolution would not happen until that hated middle class was starving, no more sodapop for those scum! They kept statting that a third party vote was not a throwaway vote, but then gew silent when you reminded them that the right wing was sending those third party types money, just like they did in 2000. The Center left Blue Dogs realized that they were expected to actually work, and not just use the right as the bad cop to their good cop. They gleefully slit Obama's achilles tendons, all the while invoking Bill Clinton. In 2010, people stayed home in the hopes the Blue Dogs would rot, and the Tea Party crawled right into the nest.

Of course, what everyone forgot was: this election really was America's last chance. Actually, 2004 was, but who cares about that War Veteran, Winter Solider liberal type John Kerry?, even Doonesbury said he looked like Herman Munster, and the Clintons let the swift boats fly because 2008 was their year. We still had a chance to undo much of the damage, but when Mitt won, the world realized that America was in the grip of demons it would not excorise, addictions it would not give up. Granted, the world was still enough of a basketcase that it would have allowed America to still be a leader, though not the leader. However, when Mitt won, the world realized that America was not going to rise, and that others would fill the void. Of course, Europe, for all it's peagantry, still remains a prime example of why a political union without a strong Federal Authority is useless; the diva states fight over who gets to be lead singer. Asia, well, one cannot help but admire the Chinese, but that does not hide the fact that their Great Wall of resurgence is built on slave labor, state repression, and a knack for corruption that they did not have to learn from anyone. Indeed, no one on any continent seemed ready to be a leader, but of course, now that America will not get it's fat ass of the Elvis Offical Toilet Bowl seat (tm) (Made in China), the world will know that the Yanks have to follow or get out of the way.

Note: I really hope to be reading this next week and laughing, but the only people that can make that happen are you. Please, let this letter fade like some Ghost of Christmas Future, fading in the light of day when Scrooge wakes up, and realizes he is still alive.

anthromorphing Sandy

I know some here are talking about Mother Earth, of Gaia's anger and warnings.

This may offend you, but in many ways, that is part of the problem, the same problem that comes about when people think Daddy sky God Jehovah did this to punish America.

There is no intellgence to appeal to, or reason with. As George Carlin pointed out, for all we know, the Earth wanted plastic, and we were just a quick means to get it. The only thing that has a chance to improve things as science; neither the Shaman nor the Preacher can do anything to pray for rain, or do anything to make it stop.

Yes, Myths do point to things that are either within our mind, or unable to be classified and understood YET. Myths do give us strength, adn often, a bit of faith does allow someone to survive while the odds say they should have died.

But make no mistake, if we want Humanity to stop killing itself, nothing else but hard cold facts, and fear, will do it.

Voting in Florida today

There is something to be said about voting on Halloween, especially this year. We had a few Creepy things, namely this guy who got up in farmer overalls and kept having a Romney sign. However, today, there was the local Dem candidiate for state senate.

Lines were long; the tournout for early voting was HUGE, with lines going all the way to the highway curb. You could sense that this election was NOT one that was going to be sat out by anyone.

Thankfully, we do have PAPER ballots, in addition to digital. We use a scantron form, but anyone can read who the bloody dark spot is next to. Of course, it was a huge ballot,with tons of amendments thanks to the GOP.

Overall, I think that earli voting is here to stay; there has been too much anger to be apathetic.

Until Mitt concedes

Yes,I have said this over and over, but we Democrats are so tired of the fact the the GOP never ever quits that we want to believe common sense will win. As Voltaire put it, "common sense is NOT common", to which I humbly add "especially in the United States of America." Until the very moment he concedes, we have to keep going FULL THROTTLE, boot on the elephant's throat, taking no prisoners!

We know the MSm will glaldy support claims of fraud or miscounts; they have a vested interest in disorder, even those nice people at MSNBC.

If John McCain was president today

The same GOP that cheered as New orleans drowned would be working OVERTIME to celebrate and exploit the death of the Northeast. Companies woudl be enocuraged to move down South, and by encouyraged I mean corruption would grease wheels with grease made fromthe blood of labor unions.

Not that i envy voting there now, but please remember, the GOP wants to kill NYC; that is why W. kept reading my pet goat when 9-11 hit. If mitt qwins, the agenda will be to bury the NE, in favor of states which prefer Boardrooms and Churches to be where the real decisions are made.

beware of polls bearing gifts

Now, I know some people will talk about polls as if they are the onyl scientific evidence worth squat,blah blah. The fact is, we know that polls have been compromised. They have become means of deception rather than enlightenment.

Yes, it is nice to see these polls come around, but they do not tell us anything we did not know; that Mitt's mask would have to slide off, no matter how gilded it was.

There is one, and only one number that matters 270 on November 6, and there is no replacement for GOTV. We need to drown Mitt, drown him so deep his minions cannot steal the election. We know the MSM will lie,especially as nothijng would be ratings gold like another Florida 2000 or Ohio 2004.

Then we can relax a bit, though acvtually not that much. We have not forgotten the back burner issues. We can tell Obama simply that the same momentum we used against Mitt can be used against him if he listens to Alan Simpson, and that she same people that kept their eyes on the rpize also want those drones stopped.

No,I do not mean Mitt, although he did, but frankly, for moderators, the old white males proved they ran awful debates. None of them came as close to making the candidates actually answer questions as did the two ladies. heck, I even found myself priaising Candy Crowley after this.

Trolls and concern

Now, are there trolls that are trying to get on the board and play us like a harp? Of course. The GOP knows the only hope they have is that the Democratic circular firing squad fires up again.

Are there people who are askign legit questions? Of course. Part of DU's purpose is to help wash off the toxic, oily smarm that has been poured over people through the TV and other "liberal media."

Should we panic either way? No

Will a troll eventually get snippy and nasty, yes, and that will be how we find and boot them, not just because they ask a question.
