It was the Chimpy Administration.....................
If you listened to the NRA, any Democrat in office is planning to go door to door, seizing any and all firearms they can find. And if you listened to them, any Republican in office is there to secure your rights to own even military grade firepower without even checking if you are capable of handling it. Yet, if you check the record, the last president who actually oversaw the seizing of firearms was none other than NRA favorite, George W. Bush. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the authorities issued commands which required the confiscation of any and all personal firearms in the areas in and around New Orleans, all while under the guiding hand of the Bush Administration and his FEMA director, Michael Brown. Under these orders, the local police, U.S. Army National Guard soldiers, and Deputy U.S. Marshals were sent out to confiscate all civilian-held firearms. According to New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass,
And they continued to do so despite the howls of protest from the NRA. The US District Court of Louisiana ultimately had to step in for the government seizure of firearms to stop, almost a month after it began. But the matter was not settled finally until 2008, when the courts finally ordered the return of the seized weapons. Yet, this chapter is conveniently forgotten by the gun rights groups. Instead, if you listened to them, President Obama is the one who is about to go door to door to take your firearms. While the president has shown some support for reforms on arms manufacturers and dealers, he has not endorsed any proposals which went as far as that in New Orleans to seek out and seize personal firearms from private citizens. So, when the NRA tells you that the GOP is friendlier on guns rights, remember those gun owners in Louisiana who woke up to the FEMA directed authorities knocking on their door and who was the President who oversaw all of it.

Guess Which President Did Take Away Your Guns? Would You Believe IT WAS A REPUBLICAN?

Govenor Ooops,.....A Freakin Texan ReTHUG Al Capone Gangster..........................:
The special prosecutor overseeing the charges against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) claims that the governor has been intimidating the members of the grand jury that indicted him, according to Bloomberg News. "The defendants own words have instilled a concern for all persons who participated in the grand jury investigation," special prosecutor Michael McCrum said in a Monday public filing.
A grand jury indicted Perry on abuse of office charges in August, after which Perry spoke out against the indictment. "I am confident we will ultimately prevail, that this farce of a prosecution will be revealed for what it is, and that those responsible will be held to account," Perry said following the indictment. Some have interpreted that statement as intimidation.
"This comment struck many listeners as a threat against the members of the grand jury and all of those associated with the grand jury process," McCrum said in the filing. "The state has a good faith basis to protect witnesses who appeared before the grand jury, who would similarly be in the category of those who would be held accountable by the governor."
Perry's lawyer, Tony Buzbee, said that the prosecutor's claim is "just silly on its face." "None of thats going on and hasnt gone on," he told Bloomberg News. McCrum also claims that Perry is misusing rules to request that the indictment be thrown out. Perry's office claims that McCrum wasn't properly sworn in as a special prosecutor and has tried to use that to get the case tossed.

Now,....he's back with more republican support......
Ed Rendell thinks that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, a Republican, should be the next president of the United States. In his talk last night, the first in the Penn Democrats series Why We Vote Blue, the former Mayor of Philadelphia and former Governor of Pennsylvania gave a few remarks looking forward to the presidential election in 2016. My hope for the country ... would be Jeb Bush in 2016 because he knows how to work with the other side, Rendell, a Democrat, said. He believes, though, that Bush will not run. With the Nov. 4 gubernatorial elections rapidly approaching, and much of the Democratic voting base dispirited due to the performance of the current president, Rendell repeatedly stressed the importance of convincing potential voters to go out and actively cast their ballots. Although the Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania governor, Tom Wolf , currently leads in the polls over incumbent Republican Tom Corbett , Rendell warned against being misled by the statistics.

Its nice that Rendell thinks ISIS is an opportunity for the president to change his legacy and that its brilliant that Arabs are dropping bombs on other Muslims but Im afraid thats just a little bit too darkly cynical for normal people. One assumes Rendell will be very impressed by this from his favorite potential GOP candidate, Jeb Bush, who gave the President an F-minus:
What could be more sickening than the idea of a community of nations? Thats right up there with world peace and global cooperation for sheer stomach-churning revulsion. (And I wonder if he asked his big brother why he signed that pesky status of forces agreement to withdraw from Iraq? Seems odd.) But back to Jebs biggest fan, Ed Rendell. Its the last part of his comment thats so revealing. After all the sturm und drang of the budget deals of the last few years and the unfortunate results, youd think the deficit scolds would give it a rest, if only for a little while. But no, theres Rendell still pushing the daft idea of a Grand Bargain to cut Social Security and veterans programs. One might wonder why they are so wedded to this concept even today, when its quite clear that neither Party nor the population at large is interested in kicking the legs out from under the incomes of seniors, veterans and the disabled at the moment. But perhaps thats because that old Upton Sinclair saying about how its difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it applies in this case. Rendell is the co-chairman of Fix-the-Debt a boondoggle designed for the purpose of pushing through this Grand Bargain which basically cuts Social Security in order to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Some bargain. And its odd that Philadelphia Magazine didnt mention this in that charming conversation with Chris Matthews because they published this scathing indictment of Rendells involvement in the group just two years ago:
It never fails to amaze that Rendells affiliation with that group isnt always mentioned when he pontificates about debt and entitlements. And one wonders when Rendell and company are going to be held responsible for what theyve wrought. In case anyone ever had any doubts, the Republicans have been making sure that any Democrat who voiced support for that Grand Bargain nonsense is paying for it now. Heres an example of the ads theyve been running:
Why in the world would the Democrats want to grab that hot potato again, especially since its a stupid idea in the first place? But stranger things have happened. If the Grand Bargain returns in the new congress you can bet that Ed Rendell and Fix the Debt will be pushing it with everything they have.
Meanwhile, our two working class heroes think Mitt old money Romney might actually be their fella:

Why Do Networks Keep Putting Ed Rendell On As A Democratic Voice?
Chris Matthews, the regular guy from Philly who reportedly makes $5 million per year and Ed Rendell the CEO-pimping investment banker whos just sitting on a million dollars in unused campaign funds should know all about that.

Bush compared keeping forces in Iraq to the post-World War II missions involving U.S. troops in Japan, Korea, and Europe, which created a security for the world and allowed people to rise up from poverty. According to Bush, those missions should be something that we are really proud of, and not doing something similar in Iraq created a void that has allowed ISIS to emerge in Iraq as a force to be reckoned with. And not fulfilling the commitment of the red-line threat created a similar kind of situation in Syria.
According to Bush, there is a consistent foreign policy for our country that has worked since World War II under Democrats and Republicans alike, and it starts with saying that we lead the world. Were not part of the community of nations, a term Bush said gave him nausea.

In addition to his current duties as professional-liberal-even-Joe-Sixpack-can-love on MSNBC, Ballard Spahr court jester, and corporate consigliere at Greenhill & Co investment bank, Rendell is currently co-chairing the steering committee of something called The CEO Campaign to Fix the Debta blue-chip cabal of 130-plus plutocrats who have anted up a $43 million kitty to fund a multimedia stealth campaign/public relations offensive to convince the turkeys to vote for Thanksgiving.
Fix the Debt is pushing for radical alterations to the tax code to legalize a hundred-plus billion dollar corporate tax dodge and pass the buck onto the middle/working/underclass in the form of deep cuts to Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, all the while masquerading as a selfless crusade to save the nation from going over the [cue thunder and lightning] financial cliff. Bless their blackened hearts.
One of the Fix the Debt campaigns main proposals for deficit reduction is creating a territorial tax system that would enable corporations to evade taxation on offshore earningswhich amounts to a combined $418 billion from the Fix the Debt member corporationswhen they bring that money home, and giving themselves a $134 billion tax break, according to a new report from the Institute for Policy Studies titled The CEO Campaign to Fix the Debt: A Trojan Horse for Massive Corporate Tax Breaks.

ED: Really smart guy.
CHRIS: And hes not a bad guy. Hes a gentleman. Hes old money. [In 2012] hes in Iowa, hes going around signing posters, having fun. And I walk up to him and I say, Can you say Let them eat cake in French? And he mumbles to me, off-camera, I can, but I wont. [laughter] Theres so much hes hiding about his class and his money. Hes so much smarter than how he comes across, because hes hiding who he is.
ED: He also hid his real political views. He should have run on RomneyCare. When I became governor, we sat with Governor Romney to learn the ins and outs of RomneyCare. He was as proud of that like it was his grandson. And then he ran away from it in the campaign.
PM: Do voters smell someone whos not authentic?

FUGGIN' STINKIN' PSYCHOS!!!..........................
The chair of the New Hampshire Republican Partys enthusiasm to win the midterms elections recently turned to bloodlust when she called on supporters to push Democrats to drown over and over and over again until they could not breath. During a Sunday campaign event to support Senate candidate Scott Brown in Manchester, New Hampshire GOP Chair Jennifer Horn told supporters what it was going to take to be victorious in Tuesdays elections. Waves happen when every single member of a cause or a movement come together with passion and action, and reach out to every single human being that they can possibly come in contact with to share the good news of Republican leadership, she explained. You are the wave. I need you out there for the next two days, it will not happen without you.
This is our time, we need to crush it, Horn continued. We need to crush it. We need to grab it, run with it, push their heads under over and over again until they cannot breathe anymore, until the elections are over on Tuesday night and weve won it all! Former Gov. John H. Sununu was on hand to charge that President Barack Obama had screwed America. Think of how disgraceful it is to have a disgrace in the White House, Sununu opined.

GET READY FOR THE CRUZ 'KLOWN-KAR-KAUCUS' IF THEY TAKE THE SENATE.........................
WAKEUP CALL PEOPLE!!!
Republicans appear likely to win the Senate and thus control of Congress tomorrow, despite the fact that their leaders, House Speaker John Boehner and prospective Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have rigorously avoided revealing their partys plans for governing the nation over the next two years. Stepping into this void of leadership, Sen. Ted Cruz, the Canadian-born Texan who, as chair of the Senates ad hoc ad hoc Klown Kar Caucus, led the Republicans unpopular shutdown of the government, set out his agenda for a GOP-controlled 114th Congress in an interview with the Washington Post yesterday.
His top priority, Cruz said, would be non-stop hearings on President Obama, looking at the abuse of power, the executive abuse, the regulatory abuse, the lawlessness that sadly has pervaded this administration. In other words, impeachment. Of course, Cruz carefully avoided using the I-word, which right-wing message-disciplinarians took off the table last summer after Republicans incessant calls to oust the president at least 40 times since 2009 were starting to spook independent and moderate voters in the run-up to the midterms. If past is prologue and if the election goes their way, it will become a question of when, not if, Republicans will commence impeachment proceedings.
More from the Post:
Cruz who has ruffled feathers on Capitol Hill by repeatedly countermanding Republican leadership positions and who has frequently broken longstanding protocol against intra-body interference by interceding in matters before the House also indicated he had no plans to support Mitch McConnell should McConnell become Senate majority leader. This may be because Cruz believes hell likely welcome a few new members to his Klown Kar Caucus tea party extremists Joni Ernst from Iowa and Tom Cotton from Arkansas are both leading in polls going into Election Day.

Cruz also would like the Senate to be as aggressive in trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act as the House, which has voted more than 50 times to get rid of the law.
Republicans should pursue every means possible to repeal Obamacare, Cruz said, including forcing a vote through parliamentary procedures that would get around a possible filibuster by Democrats. If that leads to a veto by Obama, Cruz said, Republicans should then vote on provisions of the health law one at a time.

Really, What Can Your Tiny, Single Vote Do?
Well, next time you look out your window and see your bigoted neighbor putting up republican election signs or showcasing their confederate flag in their front window, just close one eye and take aim in your mind because by you casting your vote, you have automatically cancelled out that bigot's vote............they are dead in the water and they didn't even see you coming....
How about that,......all that power in your tiny, single vote........

...Someone needs to look into this.....smells dirty to the hill.....
Former Rep. Trey Radel (R-FL), who resigned earlier this year after getting busted for cocaine, has had his record expunged, NBC Washington reported Friday.
Radel had been told that if he successfully completed probation the charge against him would be dismissed and he could apply to have his record expunged.
A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia said Friday that Radel completed all the conditions of his probation and was granted an early termination of his probation in July. The spokesman, William Miller, said Radel then asked to have his case dismissed and his record expunged, and prosecutors agreed with the request.
