Damnit, The Republicans have got me giving money again.

I've been tight-fisted over the year when it comes to campaign contributions, but I've reached the limit at which I can sit back and do nothing. Trump, Moore and others finally sent me, so I decided to make small monthly donations to the DCCC, DSCC, the Democratic Governors Association, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (who are really kicking ass right now) and the Democratic Attorneys General Association. Together, the five total just under a dinner for three in town each month. It's not a lot, but it's something I CAN do, and something I NEED to do before I lose my sanity.

Trump admin. began accepting permits to import lion trophies last month

U.S. wildlife officials began issuing permits for lion trophies hunted in Zambia and Zimbabwe about a month ago, ABC News confirmed today.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service officials said the decision was made after concluding that regulated hunting would help the survival of the endangered species in the wild.

The African lion population has decreased 42 percent in the past 20 years, according to the African Wildlife Foundation. The officials did not provide any additional details about what new information led to the decision to issue permits to import lion trophies from those countries. The Fish and Wildfire Service said it takes at least 45 days to get a permit approved so it’s unclear if any have been granted since they began accepting applications.

In 2016, the Fish and Wildlife Service placed African lions on the endangered species list for the first time due to the "dramatic decline of lion populations in the wild." The designation says that imports of African lions will "generally be prohibited" but still allows the government to issue permits to import the species "such as when it can be found that the import will enhance the survival of the species." There is an estimated 17,000 - 19,000 African lions remaining in the wild.

In addition to Zambia and Zimbabwe, the government allows permits for wild lions and lions from managed areas in South Africa and is reviewing policies about importing lion trophies from Mozambique, Namibia, and Tanzania.

Roy Moore scandal ignites fundraising explosion for Democratic challenger Doug Jones

WASHINGTON — The Roy Moore scandal has unleashed a torrent of online donations to Democrat Doug Jones, who was collecting around $250,000 per day in its immediate aftermath, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke to NBC News on condition of anonymity.

Democrats may end up in the unlikely situation of dramatically outspending the GOP in the Senate contest in deep red Alabama now that national Republicans have abandoned Moore. The Republican candidate's bank account had been depleted by a tough primary battle even before nine women came forward to accuse of him of sexual impropriety.

The scandal has super-charged Jones' already robust online fundraising to "Ossoff-level money," as one Democrat put it, referring to failed Democratic congressional candidate Jon Ossoff, who amassed a staggering $30 million in a Georgia special election this year.

Indiana Republican charged with 3 counts of child molestation

I’m INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Indianapolis City-County Councilman Jeff Miller is accused of molesting two children following a nearly month-long investigation.

Friday, three counts of child molesting, fondling or touching with child under 14 were filed against the councilman. The charges come after authorities conducted a search at Miller’s home after reports of child molestation surfaced last month.

A police report filed with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) investigators on Oct. 20 included allegations of molestation, involving a young girl. According to court documents, police executed a search warrant for Miller’s downtown home the next day.

The warrant directed officers to search for handheld body massagers and massage tools or implements. They were also specifically searching for a massager described as a blue “blob” with a ribbon on the back for a hand as well as a wood massager that is arched with “spikey things that roll.”

Ohio Candidate Details His Sexual Past

Ohio Supreme Court Justices Bill O’Neill (D), who is running for governor, wrote on Facebook about his own sexual past:

Now that the dogs of war are calling for the head of Senator Al Franken I believe it is time to speak up on behalf of all heterosexual males. As a candidate for Governor let me save my opponents some research time. In the last fifty years I was sexually intimate with approximately 50 very attractive females. It ranged from a gorgeous blonde who was my first true love and we made passionate love in the hayloft of her parents barn and ended with a drop dead gorgeous red head from Cleveland.

Now can we get back to discussing legalizing marijuana and opening the state hospital network to combat the opioid crisis. I am sooooo disappointed by this national feeding frenzy about sexual indiscretions decades ago.

Peace.

Trump and his family could save more than $1 billion under House tax bill

President Donald Trump has insisted, for months, that the Republican tax plan he supports won’t benefit him.

“It’s not good for me. Believe me,” he said at a Sept. 27 event in Indiana to sell the plan. “My plan is for the working people, and my plan is for jobs. I don’t benefit,” he also said that day.

And earlier this month, according to NBC News, Trump told a group of Democratic senators in a phone call, "My accountant called me and said 'you're going to get killed in this bill.’”

In fact, Trump and his heirs potentially could save more than $1 billion overall under the GOP tax proposal that the House of Representatives passed Thursday, with most of that amount coming from a repeal of the estate tax, according to an analysis NBC News commissioned of Trump’s one known 2005 tax return and his estimated net worth.

Fox News Bans Kiss Frontman Gene Simmons for Life

Fox finally had enough of Simmons after he crudely insulted female Fox staffers, taunted them and exposed his chest, and otherwise behaved like the “demon” character he plays onstage. Management was not amused, and Simmons’s photograph was promptly posted Wednesday at the security entrance of the company’s Manhattan headquarters along with a “do-not-admit” advisory.

Simmons’s publicist didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The trouble started Wednesday morning after the Israeli-born Simmons—birth name: Chaim Witz, who dresses like a preening teenager at age 68—appeared on Fox & Friends and Maria Bartiromo’s Fox Business Network show, Mornings with Maria, to promote his new bookOn Power.

Things seemed to be going well enough when Simmons jumped up from the Fox & Friends couch to help meteorologist Janice Dean do her weather report—a delighted Dean later posted video on her Twitter feed—and then sat on a panel with Bartiromo, who asked his views on the Harvey Weinstein sexual-misconduct scandal.

“The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out,” Simmons answered, “what I think of Harvey Weinstein.”

“Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious,” he continued. “Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”

Maybe not, but within minutes he was demonstrating it. According to a knowledgeable Fox News source, Simmons showed up on the 14th floor to do a book-plugging interview with FoxNews.com’s entertainment section, but instead barged in on a staff meeting uninvited.

“Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted, and then pulled open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and belly, according to the source. Then he starting telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes, and then bopped two employees on the head with his book, making derisive comments about their comparative intelligence according to the sound their heads made when struck.

AL-SEN: McConnell discussing asking Strange to resign, kicking off new special election

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is reportedly talking about asking Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.) to resign to kick off a new special election in Alabama.

McConnell is talking with his top advisers about whether the potential plan with Strange is possible and legal, Politico reported.

The reports come as Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore has indicated he plans to stay in the race after multiple women have accused him of sexual misconduct.

Last week, The Washington Post reported that a woman accused Moore of initiating a sexual encounter with her in 1979 when she 14 and he was 32. Another woman came forward Monday to accuse Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16.

The Post reported on Wednesday that two more women had come forward and accused Moore of making unwanted advances toward them.

A LEGAL ANALYST LOST HER JOB AFTER SHE CALLED ROY MOORE'S ACCUSERS LIARS ON FOX NEWS

Updated | A legal analyst appeared on Fox News last week to weigh in on the accusations against Roy Moore—and it backfired.

Mercedes Colwin, a managing partner at the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, told host Sean Hannity she thinks Moore's accusers, along with most other women who go public with sexual assault allegations, are liars.

Then she got demoted.

"A lot of these women, it’s all about money," Colwin said on the segment, according to Mediate. Genuine allegations of sexual assault, Colwin added, are "very few and far between."

In the aftermath of her initial comments, Colwin apologized on Twitter, stating that she hadn't intended to "trivialize or minimize the impact of sexual harassment on any victims." She went on to clarify: "I did not mean to imply, nor do I believe, that the victims of sexual assault within society are 'very few and far between.'"

But Colwin's backpedaling wasn't enough to save her job. Though Colwin is still working at the firm as a partner, she has since been relieved of her management responsibilities.
