RandySF's JournalKemp Says His Family Has Received Death Threats
Gov. Brian Kemp is fed up with the unrelenting attacks from conspiracy theorists calling on him to overturn President-elect Joe Bidens victory in Georgia. But hes even more enraged that some of those peddlers of false claims are targeting his wife and three daughters.
It has gotten ridiculous from death threats, (claims of) bribes from China, the social media posts that my children are getting, he said. We have the no crying in politics rule in the Kemp house. But this is stuff that, if I said it, I would be taken to the woodshed and would never see the light of day.
The Republican singled out the invective targeting his daughter Lucy, who has received hate-filled messages about inane false conspiracies about the death of her longtime boyfriend, Harrison Deal, who was killed in a traffic accident this month in Savannah.
I can assure you I can handle myself. And if theyre brave enough to come out from underneath that keyboard or behind it, we can have a little conversation if they would like to.
Kemp, speaking to reporters shortly after a vaccine-related event at Grady Memorial, did not blame President Donald Trump for the wrath hes facing from Republicans, even though the president has stoked the fury by blasting Kemp for refusing to illegally reverse his defeat in Georgia.

Trump Floated Not Leaving White House on January 20
President Trump not only insists he actually won the 2020 presidential election but has suggested at times that he will not vacate the premises on January 20, CNN reports.
In his moments of deepest denial, Trump has told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, only to be walked down from that ledge.

Gov. DeSantis suggests one dose of Pfizer vaccine may be enough
Gov. Ron DeSantis just a few days ago said that Americans need to unify behind the science that has led to the rapid development of vaccines. So it was a bit strange that DeSantis on Friday said that perhaps the number of Florida residents who receive COVID-19 vaccinations could be boosted by not following Pfizer Inc.s recommended instructions for its vaccine candidate.
The federal government is imminently expected to announce its approval of Pfizers vaccine candidate and, within 24 hours of approval, begin shipping the vaccine to Florida and other states. DeSantis said Florida will receive less of the supply than what was initially anticipated, so he came up with a possible way to stretch out the states inoculations.
Instead of giving two doses, as recommended by the pharmaceutical manufacturer, to high-risk populations such as nursing home residents and front-line hospital workers, perhaps one dose could do, the Governor suggested Friday.
DeSantis pointed to an article in The Wall Street Journal it was an opinion piece written by neuroscientist Michael Segal about the efficacy of the one-dose approach. DeSantis referred to the second dose as a booster shot, echoing Segals choice of words.

Just got word today that my employer will be providing my COVID vaccination.
No timetable yet, but given the nature of my workplace, COVID vaccinations are mandatory with exceptions and I will be notified of my appointment. It's just a matte of staying healthy until then.

White House staff members who work in close quarters with President Trump have been told they are scheduled to receive injections of the coronavirus vaccine soon, at a time when the first doses of the vaccine are being distributed only to high-risk health care workers, according to two sources familiar with the distribution plans.
The goal of distributing the vaccine inside the West Wing is to prevent additional government officials from falling ill in the final weeks of the Trump administration. The hope is to eventually distribute the vaccine to everyone who works in the White House, but will begin with some of the most senior people who work around the president, one of the people said.
It is not clear how many doses are being allocated to the White House, or how many are needed. While many Trump officials said they were eager to receive the vaccine and would take it if it were offered, others said they were concerned it would send the wrong message by making it look like Trump staff members were hopping the line in order to protect a president who already had the virus and has bragged that he is now immune.
The first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine left a facility in Michigan early Sunday, with UPS and FedEx teaming up to ship them to all 50 states for distribution. A White House spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
