RandySF's JournalEXPERTS: Hannity Could Be Required To Testify About His Conversation With George Zimmerman
ave said that, in her opinion, the qualified privilege could easily be overcome under Florida law because Zimmermans statements about the incident are relevant and material to unresolved issues. Further, there are no alternative sources for his statements to Hannity and there is a compelling interest for disclosure in a potential manslaughter case.
Lyrissa Lidsky, an expert in media law at the University of Florida and the author of a book on the First Amendment, said that she also believed the factors in the Florida law would be resolved in favor of forcing Hannity to disclose the information.
Michael Seigel, Director of the Criminal Justice Center at the University of Florida, agreed, stating that Hannity may very well have opened himself up to subpoena. Kenneth Nunn, another criminal law professor a the University of Florida, concurred and said he didnt think the journalists privledge could be made successfully by Hannity.

The charges against Zimmerman were officially announced tonight during a press conference given by Special Prosecutor Angela Corey.
(You can read the full charging documents here.)

Trayvon Martin shooter put photo of OSU hate crime on his website
George Zimmerman is either ignorant or supports hate crimes, said some at Ohio State University who had seen or heard about his website yesterday.
They reached those conclusions because of a photo on his fundraising website of the words Long Live Zimmerman that were spray-painted on a wall of OSUs black cultural center on Thursday.
Its completely insensitive. Its downright cold, said Dieter Smiley, a 20-year-old industrial and systems engineering student at Ohio State. I dont know if he is ignorant or malicious, but there is no excuse for his actions either way.

I'm quickly losing my confidence in this State Attorney.
She's obviously enjoying her time in front of the cameras. I'm worried that the Murder Two charge may be a Hail Mary to enhance her career. She might screw this one up.

California has it. Does Florida?

Could Hannity wind up becoming part of the Trayvon Martin case?
I heard that George Zimmerman spoke over the phone with Sean Hannity over the past few days. Did he just drag himself into the investigation?
