Source: US New & World Report
The number of vacant positions in the U.S. labor market climbed to an all-time high in July, according to a report published Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
American employers were looking to fill nearly 5.9 million open jobs that month a notable gain from June's 5.6 million vacancies. The month of July over the last few years has shaped up to be a strong one for openings, as July 2015's tally of 5.79 million vacancies held the previous record.
Openings were spread widely across sectors, with typically well-paying professional and business services employers and health care outfits looking to recruit 1.27 million and 962,000 new workers, respectively. Retail trade and leisure and hospitality companies, meanwhile, were looking to fill 627,000 and 763,000 positions, respectively.

Trump’s Immigration Speech Backfires With Latinos
Donald Trump's immigration speech in Arizona Wednesday night may have undone his chance to win Hispanic voters, with several of his major Latino backers distancing themselves from him as a result of the address and the Clinton campaign jumping to pour resources into the contested the state.
...
Hillary Clinton's campaign pounced on the turn of events.
"Trump just failed his first foreign test: Diplomacy isn't as easy as it looks," the candidate tweeted. In an email, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said Trump "didn't just choke" in his meeting with Pena Nieto, "he got beat in the room and lied about it."
After the Phoenix speech, which the campaign called "his darkest speech yet," they launched a six-figure ad buy in Arizona. The campaign plans to air its "Role Models" ad, showing young children apparently watching some of Trump's most inflammatory remarks.

Trump Doctor Wrote Health Letter in Just 5 Minutes as Limo Waited
Source: NBC News
Bornstein said that after he was asked to write the letter, he thought about what he would say all day but did not type it out until the last minute as a black car sent by Trump waited to collect it. He said he didn't even proofread it.
The doctor said he would not normally use such over-the-top language in a letter for a patient but he made an exception for Trump who just two weeks before had tweeted that the doctor's assessment would show "perfection."
"I think I picked up his kind of language and then just interpreted it to my own," Bornstein said.

Drive thru medical report? The best. Believe me.
That look of horror on Trump's own supporters when Trump says something crazy.
Today when Trump called Hillary a "bigot," he got a jaw dropping gasp out of the female supporter standing behind him on stage. At a rally, Donald Trump said, "Hillary Clinton is a bigot who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future." Video:

Kind of the same reaction as the man standing behind Trump on stage as Trump suggested Hillary be assassinated:

Pretty sad when the cray cray Trump supporters standing on stage with him have a better sense of the innappropriate than Trump.
Donald Trump's Poll-Watching Talk Spurs Call for International Monitors of U.S. Election
Source: NBC News
In a letter sent Saturday, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights asked the Warsaw, Poland-based Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to "greatly expand" its U.S. election monitoring program.
"The unprecedented weakening of the Voting Rights Act has led to a tidal wave of voter discrimination efforts nationwide and has required the United States to drastically scale back its own election monitoring program," wrote Wade Henderson and Nancy Zirkin, president and vice president respectively of the Washington, D.C.-based Leadership Conference.
"In addition, a leading presidential candidate who has made the demonization of racial, ethnic, and religious minorities a hallmark of his campaign has recently urged supporters to challenge voters at polling sites nationwide.
"An OSCE spokesman declined Monday to comment on the letter, saying the organization planned to respond directly to the Leadership Conference on Tuesday.

Donald Trump faces new backlash over pitch to black voters
Source: CBS News
On the heels of another staff shakeup, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was facing a new backlash - this time for his attempt to get black voters to vote for him in the November election.
CBS News correspondent Errol Barnett reports it was supposed to be a day for a clean slate, but Trumps latest attempted outreach to a larger voting bloc was called ignorant and heavy-handed by his critics.
Speaking from a predominately white suburb in Michigan, Trump tried to increase his support from African-American voters, which according to a recent Pew survey favor Hillary Clinton over the Republican nominee by an 83-point margin.
Youre living in poverty, Trump said. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs - 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?

Roger Ailes Is Advising Donald Trump Ahead of Presidential Debates
Roger Ailes, the former Fox News chairman ousted last month over charges of sexual harassment, is advising Donald J. Trump as he begins to prepare for the all-important presidential debates this fall.
Mr. Ailes is aiding Mr. Trumps team as it turns its attention to the first debate with Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, on Sept. 26 on Long Island, according to three people briefed on the move, who insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.
Two of them said that Mr. Ailess role could extend beyond the debates, which Mr. Trumps advisers see as crucial to vaulting him back into strong contention for the presidency after a series of self-inflicted wounds that have eroded his standing in public opinion polls.

Where Are Hillary Clinton's Pantsuits Made? Right Here in Beverly Hills
In a segment on the Sunday morning news program "Fox and Friends," anchor Anna Kooiman said pantsuits designed by Susanna Beverly Hills that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton often wears were made outside the United States.
The anchors were discussing Clinton's hypocrisy in criticizing GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump for manufacturing clothes bearing his name outside the U.S.
"Susanna Beverly Hills garments are the product of hundreds of hours of American labor, and women, including Hillary Clinton, can be proud to wear a garment that has been crafted with the absolute most care and skill here in the United States," the fashion house said in a release.

Trump is lying about his Wharton School degree.
Trump did not go to Whartons prestigious MBA program. Rather, he received an undergraduate degree offered by Wharton to University of Pennsylvania students. And Trump didnt attend Wharton for a full four years. Instead, he transferred there after spending his first two undergraduate years at Fordham, the Jesuit university in the Bronx.
Gwenda Blairs book on the Trump family reports that he gained admission as a transfer student only because of an interview with a friendly Wharton admissions officer who was one of Freddys old high school classmates. (Freddy is Donalds older brother.) Trump was also the son of one of the wealthiest New York businessmen of the era, the developer Fred Trump. That certainly couldnt have hurt his admission chances.
Writing in the New York Times magazine in 1984, William Geist reported that the commencement program from 1968 does not list him as graduating with honors of any kind, even though just about every profile ever written about Mr. Trump states that he graduated first in his class at Wharton in 1968.
