TexasTowelie's JournalEx-Employees: Dr. Michael Brown Told Bodyguard to Blow Him, Pissed All Over an Airplane Bathroom
Ex-hand surgeon Michael "More Cocaine, Please" Brown once told his bodyguard to "suck my dick," and chased his wife Rachel around the grounds of his Memorial Drive mansion with a gun, according to a former employee scheduled to testify in Brown's upcoming trial for interfering with a flight crew.
That "former household employee's" expected testimony of incidents that allegedly occurred in 2009 or 2010 is included in a notice filed by prosecutors in a Miami federal court, along with expected testimony from a former bodyguard who claims that Brown peed all over a first class lavatory on a 2009 flight to Argentina.
The testimony is meant to rebut Brown's claims that an accidental mixture of the prescription sedative Restoril and alcohol caused him to attack female flight attendants on a January flight from London to Miami.
The former bodyguard is expected to testify that the Great Airborne Pissing Incident of 2009 occurred while he accompanied Brown and a friend on a hunting trip to Argentina.

Good grief--Perry's tour fanning rumors
He embarks Sunday on a tour of Connecticut and New York that gives him the chance to showcase his Texas record as he works to lure jobs.
Perry's departure comes a week after he ignited his rhetoric against the Obama administration, likening surveillance activities to what he expects from China.
This may be just the sort of thing Perry would do if he were running for president again, and perhaps re-election before that, although he's keeping his plans close to the vest.

Rick Perry Says Americans Have No Right to Freedom From Religion
On Thursday, Rick Perry signed the "Merry Christmas Bill," written by two Republicans with the aim of making it legal for schools to "educate students about the history of traditional winter celebrations, and allow students and district staff to offer traditional greetings regarding the celebrations". This allows school administrators to say "Merry Christmas" and other holiday greetings on school grounds (which they already can) as well as set up religious displays in schools.
"I'm proud we are standing up for religious freedom in our state," Perry said. "Freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion."
Clearly and unquestionably, Rick Perry doesn't give a damn about the constitution. Freedom of religion entails freedom from imposed religion - the government has no right to endorse religion, and public school grounds certainly count, as landmark Supreme Court cases on the First Amendment have established. Just the way they don't have the right to endorse not having a religion. Does this bill allow schools to put up atheistic writings on its walls? Or is it, in intention and in overwhelmingly likely practice, for one or two religions?
Of course not, because Rick Perry and his cohort of extremists want to impose their religion on everyone else. That's why this clown governor, normally belching up bile about freedom from the federal government, is "proud" to deny you "freedom from religion". Can there be any question about the intent of a bill called the "Merry Christmas Bill"?

Extreme Anti-Abortion Legislation Heard in Senate Committee
Women at Senate HHS Committee dressed in 1950's
garb to show how incredibly backwards it is in 2013
to have to fight for reproductive rights.
Yesterday, the "Kumbaya session" grew to become an ever-more distant memory as Senators on the Health and Human Services Committee met to debate four pieces of anti-abortion legislation.
These bills, set on the suddenly-packed special session agenda set by Rick Perry, included bills that would ban abortion after 20 weeks, require surgical abortions to be administered in ambulatory surgical centers (closing all but 5 clinics in Texas), make doctors who administer abortion-inducing drugs to do so in person, and an omnibus bill that rolls up all three of the other filed bills, just in case.
These unnecessary measures-- not supported by any major medical group-- are set to prevent access to abortion and force women into unplanned pregnancies all for the sake of the "culture of life" Rick Perry claims Texas to uphold.
Expanding Medicaid for the most-uninsured state in the nation could have been one way to promote a "culture of life," but that would make too much sense. Why increase access to health care when you can make the presence of Texas state government increasingly known in the genitalia of women in our state?

Intolerance: Nuclear Weapons to Stop the Gays
By Dr. Brian CarrOne example of this can be found in those who are fascinated by military force and appear committed to the use of such extreme power as nuclear weapons. These extremists find delight as they figuratively grasp the shaft of a nuclear tipped cruise missile and consider the possible targets. Death and destructive are mere points on a map as they deploy what they perceive as the Teddy Roosevelt big stick diplomacy.
What happens when this desire for heavy handedness is merged into action? Witness the recent passage in the Russian parliament of a bill that imposes fines and jail terms against any who engage in propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations. A second bill passed by the Russian State Duma makes offending religious feelings a crime punishable by up to three years in prison.
-snip-
Fox News reported that an executive with the Russian government run television network said in a nationally televised talk show that gays should be prohibited from donating blood, sperm or organs for transplant and after their deaths their hearts should be burned or buried.

Jeb Bush: "Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families."
ASHINGTON (AP) Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says the future of the American economy depends on immigrants.
Speaking Friday to religious conservatives, Bush said that immigrants are particularly important to help create more taxpayers to fund the safety net for the large, retiring baby boomer generation.
"Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans over the last 20 years," he said, adding that immigrants also have more "intact families."
"Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families," he said.

Rathgeber approved as insurance commissioner
Julia Jeffrey Rathgeber did in 18 days what the former insurance commissioner couldnt manage in the 140 days of the regular legislative session.
The state Senate Nominations committee on Friday voted to move forward with the nomination of Rathgeber, 48, to be the new head of the Texas Department of Insurance. The vote was unanimous, six ayes and zero nays. The whole process took exactly 20 minutes.
State Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin, introduced Rathgeber to the panel, a privilege of the appointees home senator. The state needs a smart and candid leader of the states insurance regulator, Watson said.
We need to have a good strong commissioner of insurance, Watson said. Julia Rathgeber has those skills.

Eagle Ford Shale Impact: Local rent increases by 275 percent
Rent in Live Oak County increased by 275 percent since 2005. Locals and newcomers alike looking for rental houses, mobile homes and apartments have all seen an increase over the last eight years with houses leading the trend.
Its horrible. Last year I helped a young coach who came to town and had to be to work by June 15 with a wife and kids; they ended up paying $1,200 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom mobile home, Executive Director Murrell Foster of the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce said.
Thats not unusual, I tell people who complain about the rent it is a matter of supply and demand. People can get it, so that is what they charge.
Foster also said the same is true with hotel rates. He estimated a hotel room in 2005 would go for about $70. According to the Holiday Inn Express website, a standard hotel room in George West for a weekday stay now costs $174.42 per night.

It looks like I won't be attending my high school homecoming later this year.
People are living out of tents and RVs in the parks. The number of water connections in Three Rivers is 3,500 while in the last census there were only 2,000 residents.
