What are the ID rules for absentee ballots?

Just sent off my absentee ballot for myself and and my 18 year old freshman daughter and was wondering what the laws are governing ID in these cases.

A lot of my Republican friends (yes I have some) kids have gone off to college as well. I have consciously avoided mentioning absentee ballots to them in the hope they forget. Am i being bad?
