I may have just gotten a call from Don Siegelman. Is that possible?

Call was for the Democratic Campaign Committee. I get so many fucking campaign donation calls I usually don't answer them.

So this time I answer and I was in a bad mood and told them to stop calling me. But before I said that the guy on the phone said,

"Hello (my name) this is Don Siegleman calling for the Democratic Campaign Committee.

I know Don Siegelman is still in jail but could he be making phone bank calls?

I am sorry that my anger got the best of me and I did not at first comprehend what the person said his name was.

I don't recall if on the other political donation calls people give me their name.

Also it sounded like an older gentleman with a soft voice.

Could have been Don Singleman and not Don Siegelman.

What to do if there is an active shooter. Sent to us by county HR

This video is intense (warning)

Here’s a primer on what you should do during an active shooting event. Our advice: Practice. Practice. Practice.
Run
Always know the exit or stairwell nearest to your office or desk. Pay extra attention to how to get out of the building during any office fire drills. The second you hear the first pop-pop-pop of gunfire, leave the building. Fast.
Take nothing — you’ll retrieve your purse or laptop later — and wait for no one, experts say.
“Run as fast as you can, warning people on your way out the door,” Jason Porter, a regional managing director for the Pinkerton risk and security company. “Don’t let other people slow you down.”
Hide
If you can’t get out of the building:
• Hide in a room with, preferably, a door that locks.
• Turn off lights.
• Push heavy objects against the door.
• Silence cellphones.
• Keep quiet.
If you can’t find a place to duck into or under, and you can hear gunshots, curl up into the “smallest possible target,” Frank Scafidi, an FBI agent for 20 years. “Firing is generally done from the hip. If someone has an automatic weapon and is sweeping back and forth, it’s better to be as low to the ground as you can be.”
Fight
If all else fails, fight for your life. Grab anything you can hurl at the attacker — a chair, fire extinguisher, stapler, even a cellphone — and wait for the moment he or she hesitates to, say, reload. The moment the attacker pauses, you attack.
“This isn’t a schoolyard fight; it’s someone coming to kill you,” says Porter. “You need to commit to fighting to the finish.” The Paris train attack heroes rushed the gunman in a group and didn’t stop until they had subdued him. One of them, Anthony Sadler, who is a college student from California, told NBC that “we just did whatever we could to disarm him.”

Australian police raid Sydney home of reported bitcoin creator

Source: Reuters

SYDNEY, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Australian police raided the Sydney home and office on Wednesday of a man named by Wired magazine as the probable creator of bitcoin and holder of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of the cryptocurrency, Reuters witnesses said.

More than a dozen federal police officers entered a house registered on the electoral roll to Craig Steven Wright, whom Wired outed as the likely real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous figure that first released bitcoin's code in 2009.

Australia's major banks announced in September they were closing accounts of bitcoin companies, forcing at least 13 digital currency providers out of business in response to tougher rules on money laundering and terrorism financing.

Mary Buren to name library after Ellen Degeneres; comedian will unveil renovations on show today

Guadalupe is a little town on the Pacific ocean west of Santa Maria where I live. It looks just like a piece of Mexico. The movie "The Ten Commandments" was filmed on the dunes there and the set is buried under the sand. Once in a while the sand shifts and you can see part of the set which is the walls of Jerusalem.

After major renovations to the Mary Buren Elementary School Library in Guadalupe earlier this year, the library will soon be named after its biggest donor — Ellen DeGeneres.

The Guadalupe Union School District's Board of Education plans to officially name the renovated building The Ellen DeGeneres Learning Center at their board meeting Wednesday following the comedian and Target's "Thanks A Billion" campaign's $100,000 donation earlier this year.

Using the funds, the district was able to renovate the library, which was flooded last December and many of the 11,000 books, furniture and other learning tools were lost.

"This project is an unbelievable gift to the students, staff and parents of the Guadalupe community," said GUSD Superintendent Ed Cora. "The school district board of trustees expresses their sincere gratitude to Ellen, the Cousins, construction crew, and everyone else who had a part in this wonderful gift.''

I am sure no Hillary supporter on this board

is going to switch to Sanders.

The most important thing is that we vote for our primary favorite and that we vote for the Democratic nominee.

Americans named Hillary Clinton the woman they admire most of anywhere in the world, a new poll found, for the 17th time in 18 years.

When Gallup asked a random sampling of Americans who is the living female they admire most, 12% named Clinton. The former Secretary of State was followed by Oprah Winfrey at 8% and Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafazi at 5%.

If you’re with me, I need you to step up this month, Xxxxxx.

I'm not going to waste a single minute of the rest of 2015: My schedule is packed with town halls, meetings, events, and rallies (and I'm excited for it!). I'm ready to earn every vote and win the Democratic nomination, the presidency, and make history.

But I can't do it alone. I appreciate the support you’ve already shown me. If you're with me today, will you chip in $00 right now?

Your donation isn't about closing a hole in our budget. It's about showing me you're on my side when it counts the most. With candidates on both sides of the aisle smearing my name and voters going to the polls in less than eight weeks, I need to know if you're in it to win it.

I'm going to ask you to do so much over the next few weeks and months: I hope you'll volunteer, talk to your friends and family about why this race matters, wear your Team Hillary shirt proudly, and when it comes time, that you'll vote in your state's primary or caucus.

But today, all I need to know you're on my side is $00. Let me know you're in:

Xxxxx, donate $00

Thanks,

Hillary

I did not like Hillary's IWR vote. I don't like Obama's support of TPP.

I am not so naive as to think politicians are perfect human beings. Nor do I think the past performance is always a predictor of future performance. I think that people can evolve in their opinions given different circumstances or different time frames as Obama did with marriage equality.

Seeing the choices in front of me I try to pick the one that I feel will give us the best outcome given our current circumstances and place in time.

I don't make this primary decision based on a set of ideals alone though my ideals do play a roll in judging outcomes. Rather I make this decision based on who I think can best deliver as many desired outcomes given the circumstances we currently live in.

Voting for ideals is fine but I think we need to couple our idealism to a real understanding of the possibility that those ideals can be realized.

Seems to me that voting for Bernie is voting for a set of ideals in a vacuum devoid of any understanding or caring of the probability of those ideals becoming reality in a reasonable amount of time.

I pick Hillary because I understand what she means when she said "I am a progressive who likes to get things done."

This primary season is not some morality play

We don't have good vs evil here

We shouldn't portray it as such
