In other news...

No classified documents were torn up or flushed down the toilet at the White house today.

It will be fun to see later tonight

If last night the republicans wrote the script for the SNL cold opening. This has potential.

Well, Mr. McCarthy,

welcome to what the next two years is going to be like for you, even if you win this.

Okay, I think I see what happened here.

Remember the other night when they showed that cart full of pizzas being delivered to the Capitol building?

Apparently those pizza boxes were filled with cash.

My wife bought me Jann Wenner's book,

"Like a Rolling Stone" for Christmas. I started it today, and just reading the prologue I can tell this is going to be a very good book. Anyone who ran Rolling Stone magazine for 50+ years is bound to have some great stories to tell.

I've been reading Rolling Stone since it first came out, off and on. At times I suscribed to it. It covers the time of my entire adult life. Wenner is both the editor and one of the architects of our generation.

The republicans don't know how to get things done.

They only know how to stop things from getting done.

And it's now on full display.

Every day republicans get in front of microphones on national TV

and tell the whole world that Biden has an open border policy.

Then they wonder why people keep showing up at our border.

Not going anywhere this New Year's Eve.

Nasty weather, although we don't complain about rain in Californis these days. I've got some good classic movies recorded to watch with my wife, some good food planned for the next few days.

Fuck it. I'm gonna break out the last of the Egg Nog and start drinking this afternoon. Stay tuned.

I hope everyone has a happy and prosperous New Year. Cheers.

I would be happy if only one person was allowed to see Trump's taxes.

Katie Porter.

A little Christmas cheer for all.
