"People already voted Republican. You've done fuck all, you pusillanimous, parsnip-faced..."

Donald J. Trump? Verified account @realDonaldTrump

Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!

Guy quoted by Trump earlier today is a Trayvon Martin conspiracy theorist, and more

For context, see Trump's tweets in my earlier thread: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100210213683

Tom Fitton, quoted by Trump:

In July 2013, Fitton gained widespread attention for Judicial Watch in conservative media after a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, when Fitton appeared in numerous interviews to claim that the Obama administration's Department of Justice had sent representatives to Sanford in the wake of Martin’s death "to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman." PolitiFact rated Fitton's claim "mostly false."[9]

In July 2013, Fitton was identified as a key member of Groundswell, a secretive coalition of right-wing activists and journalists attempting to make radical political change behind the scenes, whose members met in the offices of Judicial Watch.[10][11]

Fitton has expressed scepticism of climate change.[12] He has said "There has been scandal after scandal involving climate data and we are skeptical of government agencies that won’t tell people what they are up to... I’m sure scientists are concerned that funding for dubious research will be cut, but the truth will win out in the end."[12] Judicial Watch, which has claimed that climate science is "fraud science", has filed lawsuits seeking to force the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to release the correspondence of climate scientists who published a 2015 study in the journal Science.[13][14] The study had debunked one of the common claims made by those who reject the scientific consensus on climate change, namely that there existed global warming "hiatus" between 1998-2012.[13] The Climate Science Legal Defense Fund (CSLDF), American Meteorological Society and Union of Concerned Scientists condemned Judicial Watch, saying that the disclosure of private communications between scientists "would harm (or halt altogether) government scientists' ability to collaborate with colleagues, damage the government's ability to recruit or retain top scientists, and deter critically important research into politically charged fields like climate change".[13] The Judicial Watch lawsuit was inspired by Rep. Lamar Smith, who had accused the authors of the study of "alter[ing] data" to "get the politically correct results they want."[13]

Fitton has made claims about voter fraud, saying "We have all heard about voter fraud and the attempts by liberal media organs like the New York Times and Ivory Tower academics to dismiss it as a nonexistent problem. But is it real, widespread, and substantial to the point that it can decide elections."[16]

In December 2017, Fitton said that "the FBI's been compromised”. He then asked whether the FBI should be shut down, asserting that it had "turned into a KGB-type operation by the Obama administration".[17] Newsweek rated the claim "false", noting that "there is no comparison between the FBI and KGB."[18]

Trump: "Not only has Trump been vindicated, he's been victimized"

Trump pontificates on the Dem memo, "phony" Russia dossier, and "mere allegations" of spousal abuse.

Donald J. Trump? Verified account @realDonaldTrump

The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency. Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!

Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

Flop Sweat. "More Republicans" twice in one tweet. WE MUST, Auntie Em, we SIMPLY MUST!

Donald J. Trump? Verified account @realDonaldTrump

Without more Republicans in Congress, we were forced to increase spending on things we do not like or want in order to finally, after many years of depletion, take care of our Military. Sadly, we needed some Dem votes for passage. Must elect more Republicans in 2018 Election!

Tim Kaine asks for secret White House memo describing the war powers Trump believes he has

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/02/tim-kaine-asks-secret-white-house-memo-describing-war-powers-trump-believes/

Kaine, Hillary Clinton’s running mate and a member of the Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees, sent a letter Thursday night to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson seeking the seven-page memo the administration has closely held for months, reported NBC News.

“The fact that there is a lengthy memo with a more detailed legal justification that has not been shared with Congress, or the American public, is unacceptable,” Kaine said in the letter, which the network obtained.

The Virginia Democrat has been asking the president to justify the U.S. bombing campaign he ordered last April in Syria after President Bashar al-Assad’s chemical attacks on civilians there.

The senator and other lawmakers are concerned Trump’s order sidestepped congressional oversight of military action, and they’re increasingly concerned about the administration’s views on war powers as the White House escalates hostility toward North Korea.

Conservative commentator MIGHT shine Kelly's shoes, but sees himself as unfit to do so,

CNN’s Joan Walsh smacks down right winger after he tells her she’s ‘not fit to shine John Kelly’s shoes’

In a shocking panel discussion about the growing discontent with President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, John Kelly, conservative commentator Steve Cortes came after Joan Walsh, editor of The Nation, in a personal attack.

*

“This is a hero should be honored and venerated,” Cortes said. “A man who lives to serve the American public and American security. And for you, Joan, frankly, to besmirch him in this way–”

“Besmirch him? He besmirched himself,” Walsh replied.

“I am not fit to shine his shoes and frankly, neither of you, quite frankly!” Cortes shouted.

Quncy Jones calls Beatles "worst musicians in the world," Microsoft's Paul Allen "just like Hendrix"

As a composer, arranger and producer on scores of hit records, Quincy Jones is known for possessing some of the best ears in the music business. So it might surprise you to learn he's not a fan of the Beatles.

In a new interview, he gave a particularly unfavorable description of how he felt when he first heard the band. Speaking to Vulture, Jones recalled that "they were the worst musicians in the world. They were no-playing motherfuckers. Paul [McCartney] was the worst bass player I ever heard. And Ringo [Starr]? Don’t even talk about it."

Jones also talked about his role arranging "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing" for Starr's 1970 solo album Sentimental Journey. "I remember once we were in the studio with George Martin," he said, "and Ringo had taken three hours for a four-bar thing he was trying to fix on a song. He couldn’t get it. We said, 'Mate, why don’t you get some lager and lime, some shepherd’s pie and take an hour and a half and relax a little bit?' So he did, and we called Ronnie Verrell, a jazz drummer. Ronnie came in for 15 minutes and tore it up. Ringo comes back and says, 'George, can you play it back for me one more time?' So George did, and Ringo says, 'That didn’t sound so bad.' And I said, 'Yeah, motherfucker, because it ain’t you.' Great guy, though."

Still, Jones admitted that he's a fan of Cream ("They could play&quot and noted that Microsoft founder Paul Allen "sings and plays just like Jimi Hendrix. ... I went on a trip on his yacht, and he had David Crosby, Joe Walsh, Sean Lennon — all those crazy motherfuckers. Then on the last two days, Stevie Wonder came on with his band and made Paul come up and play with him — he’s good, man."
