FACT: "THE Bruce Dickinson" did NOT produce "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." That's RIGHT, baby.

"The" Bruce Dickinson didn't produce &quot Don't Fear) The Reaper." It was produced by David Lucas, Sandy Pearlman and Murray Krugman.

"Cock of the WALK, baby!"

SOURCE (Goldmine Magazine):

Will ‘The’ Bruce Dickinson Please Stand Up? “The” Bruce Dickinson alluded to in the sketch did, in fact, work at Columbia Records, BÖC’s real-life record label. (By the way, The “The” is used to make it clear to viewers that this is NOT the lead singer of Iron Maiden.) Although “The” Bruce Dickinson is credited on the band’s albums in real life, neither he nor Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson actually produced “Don’t Fear The Reaper.” That honor goes to David Lucas, Sandy Pearlman and Murray Krugman. “The” Bruce Dickinson appears to have a healthy sense of humor about the sketch. On his official LinkedIn page, where he details the artists with whom he has worked on projects via his business, Imagineerist Enterprises, he lists Blue Öyster Cult — and immediately follows the listing with the phrase “More Cowbell!” in parentheses.

Jamie Foxx Pulls Driver From Flaming Wreck

http://www.tmz.com/2016/01/19/jamie-foxx-saves-driver-burning-car/

Stuntman? Jamie Foxx don't need no stinking stuntman -- he sprung into action and saved a driver from an overturned, burning car ... TMZ has learned.

The wreck happened at 8:30 PM on Monday -- a single vehicle appears to have skidded on wet roads, hit a ditch and flipped upside down. It ended up in front of Jamie's gate in normally sleepy Hidden Valley ... northeast of L.A.

Witnesses tell us Foxx told CHP officers he heard the accident, ran to the scene and saw the driver buckled into his seat. Fearing the burning car would explode ... Jamie told cops he unbuckled the man and dragged him about 30 feet away from the accident.

We're told Jamie had called 911 before his heroics, and cops and firefighters eventually got there and transported the victim to a hospital with major injuries, including burns.

In all fairness, HuffPo, if you're going to slam Bowie, you'd better fucking include Jimmy Page too.

She may have "lost her virginity" to Bowie, but she logged quite a few underaged hours with Page, and he bragged about it often.

Google "Lori Mattix" if you don't know what I'm talking about.

"American Pie" singer arrested on domestic violence charge

Source: CBS News

CAMDEN, Maine -- A jail supervisor says "American Pie" singer Don McLean has been arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Maine.

Cpl. Brad Woll says McLean was arrested and posted $10,000 bail early Monday at the Knox County Jail.

The 70-year-old singer-songwriter lives in Camden, Maine. A message left for the police chief there by The Associated Press was not immediately returned. Police responded to his home shortly after 2 a.m. for a 911 call. The victim of the assault did not require hospital treatment, police told CBS affiliate WGME.

Woll says he did not know if McLean had a lawyer. A message seeking comment was left through the singer's website. A phone number listed under his name rang unanswered.

On PAPER, I can see why Cruz picked this guy as his potential running mate. But...

...I just don't see it playing well in the Bible Belt.

At Las Vegas town hall, Fiorina emphasizes she’s still in the race

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina stumped at the Siena Community Center in Las Vegas today, attempting to dispel the notion of a waning campaign after she was bumped from the main stage at last week's Republican presidential debate.

Speaking to a crowd of about 200 supporters, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO continued to couch herself as a political outsider with the wherewithal to push into Washington politics. Acknowledging her poll numbers, Fiorina said she’s fighting against “household names” who have spent tens of millions of dollars on television ads.

“Last time I looked, not a single vote has been cast,” Fiorina said. “You have a caucus. You know how you get me from fifth to second: Vote for me. Honestly, that’s what it’s going to take.”

During the town hall, Fiorina tackled a number of issues — including religious freedom, gun control, abortion and the federal ownership of land in the West — saying that the American people have been told to “shut up and be quiet” about them.

Ted Cruz Does Not Understand What 'Carpet Bombing' Means

Ted Cruz Does Not Understand What 'Carpet Bombing' Means

WASHINGTON -- Ted Cruz on Sunday stood by his claim that the U.S. should "carpet bomb" the Islamic State group out of existence and falsely stated that the George H.W. Bush administration carpet bombed Iraq during the first Gulf War.

"You wanna know what carpet bombing means?" Cruz said, invoking the first Iraq War in 1991. "We were launching 1100 air attacks a day. We were carpet bombing." As a result of this bombing campaign, Cruz said, U.S. troops "mopped up the remains of the Iraqi army" with ease.

The United States did not carpet bomb Iraq or Kuwait during the 1991 Gulf War. The airstrikes were highly targeted and thus highly effective, as military experts told The New York Times. "Carpet bombing" is not even a term used by the American military. But it is generally understood to be the indiscriminate bombing of large geographic areas without regard for potential civilian casualties.

Cruz has been repeatedly mocked by military leaders, human rights advocates and even fellow conservatives for pledging to "carpet bomb" ISIS. During the GOP debate Thursday, he acknowledged that he would not actually bomb entire cities to take out ISIS members embedded within them, but rather target bombing campaigns against key elements of the ISIS militants. That is essentially the Obama administration's strategy.

Fiorina plays the El Chapo card, and in doing so, jumps an even bigger shark than "Demon Sheep."

Fiorina likens Clinton to Mexican drug lord El Chapo

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/15/politics/republican-debate-carly-fiorina-hillary-clinton-el-chapo/

Washington (CNN)Carly Fiorina said Friday that Hillary Clinton is "more qualified for the Big House" than the White House and compared her to the recently captured Mexican drug lord El Chapo.

"Hillary Clinton has spent her entire life on a quest for power. She has avoided prosecution more times than El Chapo. Honestly. We've run out of 'gates,'" Fiorina told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on "New Day."

Fiorina added, "Once again, she wants to be in the White House. The truth is she is more qualified for 'the Big House.'" That is why I am continuing to talk about the reality of the political establishment - of which Mrs. Clinton is example, exhibit A -- the political establishment does not serve the interest of the American people."

Arcade Fire's Second Line Parade Celebrating David Bowie

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/see-arcade-fires-second-line-parade-celebrating-david-bowie-20160117#ixzz3xWgzejQM

As promised, Arcade Fire and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band paid tribute to David Bowie Saturday with a traditional second line parade through the streets of New Orleans' French Quarter. Frontman Win Butler, red megaphone in hand, led hundreds of Bowie fans in a sing-along of a handful of the rock legend's classics, including "Heroes," "Oh! You Pretty Things" and "Suffragette City."

The band asked fans to dress in their "best Bowie outfit or something more strange," and even Butler took part in the festivities with some Aladdin Sane-inspired face paint and a bright pink jacket. Hundreds of fans gathered at New Orleans' St. Peter Street, the second line's starting point, and packed Big Easy streets until reaching its destination, the One Eyed Jacks nightclub, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

"David Bowie was one of the band's earliest supporters and champions," the Arcade Fire said in a statement following Bowie's passing. "He not only created the world that made it possible for our band to exist, he welcomed us into it with grace and warmth. We will take to the grave the moments we shared; talking, playing music and collaborating as some of the most profound and memorable moments of our lives. A true artist even in his passing, the world is more bright and mysterious because of him, and we will continue to shout prayers into the atmosphere he created."
