Koch Brothers working to create app to steal elections - now the advanced way!

Well here we are. Clint Curtis's prototype is now old technology. His software was created for the touchscreen voting machines (to see if they could be hacked).

Now Florida has moved back to "paper ballots" with all kinds of bad laws. Do know their programmed memory cards are still in use, in the opti scan machines. They count the way they are programmed to count, and we are not allowed to look at the source code. The source code is "vendor proprietary information". Under Florida election law it is the electronic totals that are certified while doing a post certification audit a week later, after you call the results on a Tuesday night. Under Florida election law the audit percentage of paper ballots a week later is inadequate at 1-2%. The state is the problem. The state also narrowed the provision for a recount, after 100 years, from 1% to a half. This must be solved county by county. As important as Pinellas County is to the state and country, I would like to see a charter amendment for a 5% audit, to mirror Sarasota County's and their successful efforts in these matters.

Because an audit of 3-5% will stop these devastating shenanigans that now something as simple as an "app" can do to the integrity of the citizens vote to be counted accurately, we must begin to discuss these matters now. An adequate audit can stop what the Koch brothers are now up to....all over the United States, not just Florida.

I met with Rep Hooper(R) (now running for Pinellas County Commission) when he wanted our FL military to vote 'over the internet" overseas. It was not a great meeting. I contacted him later to let him know that his support for a 'machine' was put to the test in DC. They had university tech teams try to hack it. U of M won the "hack test" and to be funny, inserted their fight song! I've shared all of this with you in the past. (They resolved the overseas voting, but that also is still in need of an adequate audit.)

Florida paper ballots are stored away for recount purposes only. We are relying on electronic totals. Now read below, it's so much easier now to hack. All we need in Florida is an audit of at least 3% but I'd like to follow conservative Sarasota with 5%. And thank you again Kindra!

And don't forget this:

Florida Election software Flips Vote: Losers Certified as Winners (2012)

Look how late to the party we are.....

-- A Koch brothers-affiliated group of tech-savvy developers who adhere to what they call "conservatarian" principles are sponsoring hackathons around the country to develop The Next Great App to help Republicans get elected. The events have been held in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and Miami. If the GOP suddenly closes the technological gap with Democrats, remember the name Lincoln Labs: They were probably behind it.

Kriseman goes off list, picks mystery candidate as next St. Petersburg police chief

Source: Tampa Bay Times

ST. PETERSBURG — Mayor Rick Kriseman has picked a surprise candidate to lead the St. Petersburg Police Department, after eliminating all four known finalists over the weekend. Kriseman praised all four other finalists but said none of them was the "complete package."

"Each one of the finalists had strengths," Kriseman said. "It became clear to me none of them fulfilled all the criteria."

"I think everybody's blind-sided," said council member Karl Nurse. "I didn't see this coming."

Holloway did not apply for the position and his name did not surface as a possibility until the eleventh hour, after it became clear the others weren't picked.

But some feel the mayor has made a "mockery" of the search, he said.
"How transparent is it that we possibly have a chief that didn't apply and no one knew about?" Marland said. "Kriseman) must have a different definition of transparency."

Now, this mayor has pissed off each group that got him elected, as well as the general citizenry he promised transparency in his administration.

The majority wanted Melanie Bevan's, a gay officer who rose through the ranks. She knows St. Pete. It was after all, the gays who got this mayor elected. Now he has pissed of the LGBT's, the PBA, and the African American community, as they had another officer who rose up the ranks the community trusted. Who's left to piss off? We tried to warn everybody, his record was just that of a "pol". And the Times reported he hired a chief of staff who is a pervert!

Theme park employees caught in sex stings, child porn arrests

Source: CNN

In the latest sting that ended in July, two Disney employees and an employee at Universal Studios were among those arrested by Polk County Sheriff's detectives. One of those arrested was 40-year-old Allen Treaster, a concierge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge who used to work at Disney's popular Toy Story ride. The police report said he advertised himself online as "Big Teddy Bear for younger chaser."

Detectives arrested Treaster after he showed up at a house to meet someone police said he thought was a 14-year-old boy, hoping to "fulfill a fantasy," according to his text messages. Treaster was actually communicating with an undercover detective. He has pleaded not guilty.
During the videotaped interrogation with detectives, Treaster confessed to having sex with a teenage boy he met online 3˝ weeks before his arrest. He said he drove to Georgia to meet the boy at his house, then took him to a hotel where they had sex, according to the interrogation video.
The undercover detective asked Treaster, "OK and when did you find out how old he was?"
"Honestly, I found out before I met him, but you know," Treaster said.
"So you still went for that, to have sex with him, knowing he was 15 years old?" the detective asked.
"Yes," Treaster said.
Treaster did not return calls from CNN.
He was one of four Disney employees and one Universal employee arrested in sex stings or in child porn cases from June 10 to July 1.
Previous arrests include:

• Cedric Cuthbert, the night shift custodial manager at Disney's Port Orleans resort, who was downloading child porn last year on his work computer while writing a sermon for his church, where he was the pastor, according to police. Cuthbert pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to six years in prison.
• Paul Fazio, who worked in an Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop. Fazio was convicted of downloading videos showing "multiple scenes of nude prepubescent children engaging in sexual activity with adults and other children," the police report said.
• William Marrero-Maldonado, who worked for Disney security. He was arrested in April after an Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigation claimed that he was downloading child porn videos. He has pleaded not guilty.

Florida Supreme Court removes judge for running ministry from the bench

Florida Supreme Court removes judge for running ministry from the bench

The Florida Supreme Court handed down the most severe available penalty to a judge accused of having used her courtroom to advertise her for-profit ministry.

Leon County Judge Judith Hawkins was accused of running Gaza Road Ministries out of her offices at the county courthouse. According to court documents, Judge Hawkins sold ministry products in the courthouse, both to lawyers and her employees — one of whom she tasked with helping her sell her wares.

“Your involvement with [Gaza Road Ministries] caused you to devote less than your full time and full attention to your judicial duties,” the court found, noting that she would also “take trips” without informing “the attorneys or parties in advance of [her] absences.”

She was also found to have “maintained an idiosyncratic system of justice, inconsistent with generally accepted law and procedure, known as ‘Hawkins Law.’” One of the tenets of “Hawkins Law” was that she need not pay attention to matters in her courtroom unrelated to her side business.

Hobby Lobby 401(k) employee retirement plan-INCLUDES companies that produce emergency contraceptive

Here is how firm Hobby Lobby is about their religious beliefs. They have their pension funds invested in companies that produce contraceptive pills and more questionable investments that should have thrown doubt on their sincerity. This is how thoroughly SOCTUS investigated and reviewed their lawsuit. I wonder if this was brought to their attention?

Documents filed with the Department of Labor and dated December 2012—three months after the company's owners filed their lawsuit—show that the Hobby Lobby 401(k) employee retirement plan held more than $73 million in mutual funds with investments in companies that produce emergency contraceptive pills, intrauterine devices, and drugs commonly used in abortions. Hobby Lobby makes large matching contributions to this company-sponsored 401(k).
