A judge will allow an accused Capitol rioter to cross-examine Secret Service agents about precisely where Mike Pence was during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Couy Griffin, the leader of Cowboys for Trump, argues that Pence left Capitol grounds when he was evacuated, and U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden will allow him to question Secret Service agents about the former vice president's location in a bench trial scheduled to start Monday, reported Politico.

“Whether the Vice President was present on the Capitol grounds is … an essential question in Griffin’s prosecution,” ruled McFadden, a Donald Trump appointeee. “[T]o mount a meaningful defense Griffin must be allowed to test the veracity of the Government’s contention that Vice President Pence was on the Capitol grounds during the relevant period.”

Key informant coming up in Gov. Whitmer kidnap trial

Jurors soon will hear from a pivotal informant who approached the FBI about a band of antigovernment extremists, a tip that eventually led to charges in an incredible plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Prosecutors signaled that the informant, known as “Big Dan,” will testify Friday in federal court in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after defense lawyers finish questioning an FBI agent.

Adam Fox, Barry Croft Jr., Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta are charged with conspiracy. Prosecutors say they turned their anger toward government in 2020 into a plot to kidnap Whitmer at her vacation home because of restrictions she imposed during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the series, United Earth had seceded from the galactic United Federation of Planets following the catastrophic event known as The Burn that spanned the galaxy. But after Capt. Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and her crew saves the Federation from total obliteration, the president of United Earth makes their way to the Starfleet starbase and requests to rejoin the union.

That president? Abrams, of course.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki blasted attacks from U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) Thursday afternoon, calling into question his credibility over the fist-pumping insurrectionist poster boy’s unfair and inaccurate attacks on President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

After a reporter noted that Senator Hawley has “consistently voted against the President’s nominees,” Psaki was asked if the White House is worried the “explosiveness” of Hawley’s “line of attack” against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will “affect your ability to win over other Republican votes.”

Senator Hawley, whose iconic fist pump in the air became one of the most recognizable images of the January 6 insurrection and attack on American democracy itself, still sits on the Judiciary Committee and has been waging war against Judge Jackson.

Millionaire GOP lawmakers say wearing masks on flights causes 'ongoing financial harm'

A group of Republicans is suing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention over masks.

A group of more than a dozen Republican members of the House and Senate filed a lawsuit against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday, claiming that the federal mask mandate for airplane travel violates their "constitutional rights." They also said the requirement causes them "ongoing financial harm" because they have to purchase masks.

"On its face and as applied, the Mask Mandate violates Members' right to be free from unlawful regulations, and Members will be irreparably harmed unless this Court enjoins Defendants from enforcing the Mask Mandate," reads the lawsuit, which was filed by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), joined by 15 other members of the House and Senate.

Even though major studies have found that masks help stop the spread of COVID-19, the lawsuit claims that there is not enough evidence to suggest masks are useful.

Federal prosecutors are arguing for a sentence of 75 days in prison for her role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

One key piece of evidence in the case against Jenny Cudd, who pleaded guilty in October, is a video the former Midland, Texas candidate for mayor posted to social media.

"In an explicative-laced video Cudd posted on social media, she said she and the mob 'pushed and pushed' and 'got in,' adding that she was proud that she 'charged the Capitol' with people she called 'patriots.' Cudd also said in a video she was 'proud of everything' she was a part of on Jan. 6 and that she'd be 'proud of everything that I’m a part of at the next one.' Those statements, the Justice Department argued, showed a clear lack of remorse," NBC News reported Wednesday.

Former Jan. 6 Capitol attacker Joey Gilbert started his campaign for governor on Wednesday, with a 60-second video with a slew of QAnon-related conspiracies.

While Gilbert begins the ad quoting John F. Kennedy, he turns to attack "a powerful group of elites," like George Soros, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey, saying they "want to enslave every generation." He didn't explain what they would be enslaved to do, however.

"Our basic freedoms and way of life are under attack," he continued. "The courts, the schools and big corporations can influence every aspect of our daily lives."

On 8 March, a jury took three hours to render a guilty verdict against Guy Reffitt, a January 6 insurrectionist. Donald Trump could not have been pleased. DC is where Trump would be tried for any crimes relating to his admitted campaign to overturn the election.

Jurors there would have no trouble finding that the evidence satisfies all statutory elements required to convict Trump, including his criminal intent, the most challenging to prove. That is our focus here.

A 3 March New York Times story asserted that “uilding a criminal case against Mr Trump is very difficult for federal prosecutors ... given the high burden of proof ... [and] questions about Mr Trump’s mental state”.

"But the Dems have been funding *actual* Nazis since the Obama/Biden administration. Funding to neo-Nazis in Ukraine only stopped under President Trump... Last week, Congress voted to fund Ukraine with $13.6 BILLION in lethal aid. How much U.S. taxpayer cash will end up in the hands of the neo-Nazis in Ukraine?"

While there have been legitimate concerns raised in the past about military aid to Ukraine falling into the hands of far-right militias in the country, the aid approved by Congress is being given directly towards Ukraine's actual military.
