Depaysement's JournalNorth Korea sanctions: Philippines to seize cargo ship
Source: BBC
The Philippines says it has seized a North Korean ship in line with tightened UN sanctions targeting the country's nuclear programme.
Deputy presidential spokesman Manolo Quezon said the Philippines "has to do its part to enforce the sanctions".
The Jin Teng is one of 31 ships operated by North Korean firm Ocean Maritime Management, which is subject to an asset freeze and sanctions.
It is currently docked in Subic Bay and is unloading palm kernels.
New UN sanctions were imposed after North Korea's recent nuclear and ballistic missile tests.

Hillary DU Theme of the Day
Bernie must end his campaign.
Our answer: Not a chance in hell.
Oh, and by the way, where ARE the transcripts of those Goldman Sachs speeches?
Still "looking into it?"
Jacob Sullivan
With the next batch coming out tomorrow, I was reading a few of the Hillary emails that pertain to Syria. Sullivan is the guy who forwarded at least the emails I read to her. He's McNamara type wiz kid - debate champ, Yale, Yale Law, Rhodes Scholar, Supreme Court clerk. He's now back at Yale Law teaching. Real life example of the "best and the brightest," probably on the road to being Hillary's NSA.
Yet he seemed not to know or notice or care about the classification rules. Several people here have pointed out that, as a government official, you're supposed to know those rules. So why didn't he know? Or did he just not care? Or was he told not to care?
Hillary Clinton Pushes Colombia Free Trade Agreement In Latest Email Dump
On the eve of South Carolinas Democratic presidential primary, the U.S. State Department released 1,500 pages of Democratic candidate Hillary Clintons emails from her tenure as secretary of state. Included in the 881 emails published Friday night are messages highlighting Clinton lobbying for a controversial Colombian trade deal she previously pledged to oppose.
During her 2008 presidential run, Clinton said she opposed the deal because I am very concerned about the history of violence against trade unionists in Colombia. She later declared, I oppose the deal. I have spoken out against the deal, I will vote against the deal, and I will do everything I can to urge the Congress to reject the Colombia Free Trade Agreement.
But newly released emails show that as secretary of state, Clinton was personally lobbying Democratic members of Congress to support the deal, even promising one senior lawmaker that the deal would extend labor protections to Colombian workers that would be as good or better than those enjoyed by many workers in the United States.

Sirota: Walmart's Billionaire heiress just dumped $353,000 into the "Hillary Victory Fund"
Clintons 2016 campaign has numerous ties to Walmart. Most recently, Walmart heir Alice Walton donated $353,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund, which is backing her presidential run, a Walmart lobbyist held a Mexico fundraiser for her and the consulting firm of her campaigns top strategist lists Walmart as a client. Before that, Clinton was a member of Walmarts board in the late 1980s and early 1990s. As PBS Frontline documented, that was when Walmart began offshoring its supply chain to China. A recent study by the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute (EPI) estimated that Walmarts shift to China ended up eliminating more than 300,000 manufacturing jobs in the United States.

From 2006 - "Rupert Murdoch Loves Hillary Clinton"
The mating ritual of the unlikely allies has been under way for months. Clinton set political tongues to wagging last month by attending a Washington party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Fox News, the cable news channel owned by Murdoch.
The Financial Times quoted one unnamed source as describing the Clinton-Murdoch connection in this way: "They have a respectful and cordial relationship. He has respect for the work she has done on behalf of New York. I wouldn't say it was illustrative of a close ongoing relationship. It is not like they are dining out together."
The fundraiser will take place in July, the newspaper said. Clinton is the frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, though she has not indicated whether or not she will run.
Clinton has worked hard to take the edge off her reputation as a card-carrying liberal. She has has collaborated with congressional conservatives on some peices of legislation, called for a "common ground" on abortion and cut a political figure some on the left see as decidedly un-liberal.
