Something seen today in the Corporate Supplicant group

"Two of three congressional candidates Sanders backed ystdy are running against gay Dems in primaries"

Sanders raising funds against gay congressional candidates

According to the Huffington Post, the fundraising email isn’t the first time two of these three candidates have worked with the Sanders campaign. Both Flores and Jaypal introduced the presidential candidate during rallies in their respective home states of Nevada and Washington. Flores also appeared in an advertisement for Sanders that ran before the Nevada caucuses.

But two of these three candidates are seeking to defeat openly gay contenders seeking the Democratic nomination to run for Congress. As of right now, a total of seven lawmakers serving in the Congress are openly gay, lesbian or bisexual, or slightly more than 1 percent of the legislative body. That’s short of the estimated 3.5 percent of the U.S. population as a whole who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual, according to the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. (Transgender people make up an estimated one-third of one percent of the U.S. population, but no member of Congress, nor any member of a state legislature, is openly transgender.)

Teachout is running against Will Yandik, an openly gay farmer and Livingston deputy town supervisor who recently had a child with his same-sex spouse. Their primary is on June 28, weeks after the presidential contest on Tuesday.
Jayapal is competing against two openly gay candidates: Joe McDermott, a former member of the Washington legislature and now a member of the King County Council, and Brady Walkinshaw, a member of the Washington State House. Their primary is set for August 2, some time after the Washington presidential caucuses for Democrats, which took place on March 26, and the Republicans, which is set for May 24.

Both McDermott and Walkinshaw told the Washington Blade they objected to Sanders’ endorsements of their opponents at a time LGBT people aren’t proportionately represented in Congress.

Ok, so the fuck what? People don't deserve seats because of their orientation! If that was the case, I could cakewalk my pansexual mulatto ass up the steps of El Paso's town hall and just slip right into a seat. Maybe they should focus on running issues, and not identity politics.

My grandfather, and two of my uncles have suffered thanks to regime change mentality.

My grandfather is dead, and both of my uncles have PTSD thanks to the endless war regime change mentality that Clinton clearly espouses, so excuse me for not being offended by a phrase that y'all deliberately twist.

I'm a bit more concerned with the countries we're destroying under shittacular leadership.

Where were these motherfuckers when Anita Hill was referred to BY DAVID BROCK OF ALL PEOPLE

as "a little bit nutty, a little bit slutty"?

Where were these motherfuckers when Fiorina got lambasted as a corporate whore?

Where were these motherfuckers when Bush, Obama, Huckabee, et cetera got lambasted as corporate whores?

Oh, right. That was just the language of the times, but as soon as it's directed at Hillary, it becomes an "oh poor me" head-for-the-fucking-fainting-couch victim card issue. But yeah it's perfectly fine to refer to Sanders supporters as Nazis.

And before y'all start, no, "mea culpa" is not a motherfucking apology.

Honest question here.

Is war for profit, war for unnecessary regime change, war over oil and resources worth wasting our servicemen and women's lives?

Is the needless spilling of American blood on foreign soil somehow necessary to ensure global American power?

Is opposing unnecessary war, opposing the things that we've done in the past twenty years "baby boomer idealism"?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you have a lot of soul searching to do, because war was never a platform for actual Democrats.

Sure, I'll concede HRC's a feminist. HOWEVER.

Social issues are not the only puzzle piece in this race. Most of us, we're more than cognizant of all the wrong that Clinton did as SecState. I'm not even getting on the email thing right now, I mean the horrible foreign policy decisions that have undermined at least one nation, and severely screwed over a few others-- how can the servicemen and women of the United States be certain that a Hillary presidency will not send us into ANOTHER meaningless, "flexing our geopolitical genitalia" war like we dealt with(with her vote and the votes of many other so-called democrats for the Iraq AUMF) under the Bush presidency?

How are we supposed to vote for her if we can't trust that we won't be made to meaninglessly shed our blood over "business opportunities" and essentially dragging formerly functional countries kicking and screaming into a failed democracy?

Things learned today:

You can call Bernie Sanders a motherfucker for no reason all damn day, and not get hid.

Call Bill Clinton a motherfucker for talking down to BLM, twisting their words and essentially looking like he just got a job as a political correspondent at Fox News, and everyone loses their goddamn minds!

The hypocrisy is fucking glaring. But hey, what else am I supposed to expect? Guess the wind blew a tad too hard at an inopportune moment.

So has anyone gotten money from Revolution Messaging?

According to Camp Weathervane, we're all paid provocateurs and I'm here like "If that's the case then where's my paycheck"... It's like they can't believe someone could oppose her based on what she's done.

Just saw an utterly reprehensible post in GD-P

that asserted Hillary should stick with "aggressive foreign policy".

How in the holy fuck do these people sleep at night? How can they say they care about the world at large and then assert some fuck-backwards shit like this?

"Killing for peace is like fucking for chastity." That's what's been on my mind, all fuckin' weekend so far. I just-- I don't understand. Liberals shouldn't be supporting "interventions". Shouldn't be making excuses for fucking Blackwater. They say that it's disingenuous to assume Hillary's a PNAC neocon, well, how the fuck am I supposed to believe that seeing people who claim to be Democrats say that we need "aggressive foreign policy"? Isn't that EXACTLY what PNAC's architects said?

Tomorrow is Eostara.

Blessed be, and give your families my blessings. It's already been a long year, and it just feels like it's gonna get longer.
