The Polack MSgt
The Polack MSgt's JournalSorry Glam - Can't let it go unremarked
The Faces are cool and all and the Stones are the Stones, but Ronnie's solo work deserves way way more love
Whether it's doing Dylan BETTER than Bob himself:
Or writing songs that Keith and Mick kick themselves for not coming up with themselves:
All Ronnie has ever been is outstanding and he gets passed over and ignored because the damn singers get all the pub?
Bullshit, Ronnie is a stud, and I saw his "Gimme Some Neck" tour he kills it live as well.
Why doesn't he get more respect? It mystifies me:
I may be late to this party, but...
My goodness Sue Foley is amazing.
The Canadian blues fans should have let me know sooner...
Well, looks like Rage Against The Machine needs to retire one of my favorite songs
Rodeo will be renamed Obama Blvd.

I hear that Veterans seem to be turning against the cheeto chancre - At last
Why now seems an obvious question given 45's actions and rhetoric for the last 2+ years. Here is how I see it:
For way too many vets, the Khans were fair game because brown and Muslim doesn't count as a vet.
Tammy Duckworth? Women aren't really vets and she's a DEM...
But when it comes to McCain?
How dare he disrespect an old white Republican MAN!!!
That is why IMHO that this slap at vets was actually noticed and all the others went unremarked.
I wish my comrades in the VFW/Legion crowed were less reactionary, and if the vet groups better reflected the veteran population we would have a good chance of making that true.
At least in cities and in majority AA or Hispanic posts there is push back against Trumpism. I wish there were more minority vets joining the service organizations like the VFW or American Legion, AMVETS etc.
Minorities serve in numbers much greater than their percentage of the population but are very under represented within veterans service organizations.
Women make up about 1 in 5 service members but are scarce in the service organizations nationwide.
Change those demographics and the national conversation would change as well.
Crutchez Cuibono posted a cool old tune and it sparked a memory, a false memory it turns out...
I had it in my mind that "Ride Captain Ride" was Seatrain, but it obviously was not...
So, off I go to youtube for a Seatrain refresher.
These guys were in my box of road trip 8track tapes, and I had a couple LPs back in the day, but I was never an obsessive fan.
It seems that over the years I misremembered them so badly that I couldn't even recognize 'em... Sorry guys.
Hey @glamrock I haven't posted a straigt Blues guitar player in a while
Thought that maybe I needed to fix that shortfall... Guy Davis also has a voice that can take a coat of paint off a battle ship
Ohoopee River Bottom land seemed to be a hit yesterday, so here's some more Larry
Larry Jon Wilson was an odd mid 70s country singer songwriter - I think he was way ahead of his time.
My biker/coal miner Uncle loved him, but he was just another dude to me back then.
Then a couple years ago, I saw Heartworn Highway, and rediscovered the man. Holy schmoley was he talented, and his voice is 21 year old single malt in a glass.
The best part of the internet to me is that I no longer have to spend hours in used record shops when I get a wild hair about an artist.
Thanks Google.
How about a country and western funk tune about a Gullah wise woman? I mean sure, who HASN'T written that song already, am I right?
Larry's version is the coolest though
1st sweep in Dodger stadium since 2006
Cardinals have been crushing it since we cleared the decks for the rookies.
All 3 starters in this series were rooks BTW.
I wish I had a big bowl of Polish Salad
Hell, I wish I had some of the fermented cucumber (NO VINEGAR) polish pickles needed to make this.
