Donald Trump the man who has made demonizing Muslims a big part of his presidential campaign now wants to attend the funeral for Americas best known Muslim, Muhammad Ali. Everything Trump does is yuuuuge even his hypocrisy.
Next up will Trump attend Mexican Independence Day celebrations? Or perhaps he will show up at a rally for the National Organization of Women?
Keep in mind Trump didnt just stir up hate in general about Muslims throughout this campaign he actually denied that Muhammad Ali was a person worthy of praise. That happened in December after President Obama declared in a speech that, Muslim Americans are our friends and our neighbors, our co-workers, our sports heroes.
Trump would have none of that. So he took to Twitter mocking the very notion there were any Muslim sports heroes: Obama said in his speech that Muslims are our sports heroes. What sport is he talking about, and who?
If Trump doesnt view Ali as a sports hero than what does he view him as? If Trump sees Ali as nothing more than a typical Muslim, why would Trump want to attend the funeral of a guy who follows a religion that Trump has said hates us. Not only that, thousands of Muslims will be at Alis Muslim funeral Thursday and at the interfaith services on Friday, which are both open to all faiths as Ali directed. Why would Trump want to stand with so many people who follow a religion that he believes hates America?

Theres been a lot of concern lately about violence coming from Donald Trump protestors, but Bruce Campbell is pouring cold water on the moguls supporters for using a picture from his TV show as Twitter propaganda.
The presumptive nominee recently held an event in San Jose, California, where things took a nasty turn as protestors showed undeniable hostility to the rally attendees. A pro-Trump Twitter account called Conservative Nation seems to have tried to capitalize off this, and they put out this picture of an alleged Trump-supporting woman who was beaten and bloodied by demonstrators.
Here's what happened to female Trump supporter when she met 'peaceful' and 'tolerant' liberals.
https://twitter.com/Cons_Nation/status/739945142531035136/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
Enter Campbell, who said that the woman in the picture is actually an actress whose injuries were part of a make-up test for Ash VS. Evil Dead.
Check your facts, folks. This is an actress named Samara Weaving from #AshVsEvilDead. This is a make-up test. Sad.

The comedy-horror series is a take on the Evil Dead film series that launched Campbell into fame. It deals with Ash Williams ongoing quest to fight zombies and other forces of evil brought forth by the Book of the Dead.

A New York Times journalist reported on Twitter that she had received three separate death threats after penning a piece calling the Democratic primary for Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton Has Clinched Democratic Nomination, Survey Reports, Times reporters Amy Chozick and Patrick Healy wrote Monday. The piece was not based off of the Times delegate count, but reported on an announcement from the Associated Press that they were calling the race for Clinton.
Supporters of Clintons opponent Bernie Sanders were less than happy with the piece, and at least three of them called Chozick on her personal phone to threaten her.

There's no bad choice here. But you do still have to make a choice.
My California vote-by-mail ballot arrived early this week (I expected it earlier, but apparently so many people are now voting by mail that the Post Office is a bit overwhelmed). And with the California primary only a few days away, it was time to make my decision.
I was undecided for much of the primary season. For a while, I contemplated leaving the ballot blank on the Presidential nominee line as the vitriol of the primary season grew but I realized that my decision needs to be not a reaction to poor behavior (which was on both sides), but on both the issues and the ability to govern and be a strong executive. And on issues, I am most aligned with Bernie Sanders, and I was thrilled when his campaign grew beyond what many believed possible, and several weeks ago I resolved to support him. I was even polled a few days ago (Marist) and indicated that Id be voting for Bernie.
I dont dislike Hillary Clinton certainly I dont despise her with the burning hatred of a thousand suns, as seems to be de rigeur for many around here -- but I do have some reservations (primarily around her relative hawkishness). I should add that I have been and continue to be extremely impressed by her intelligence and command of the issues, even down to the fine details (something that actually seems to evade Bernie).
And yet
And yet.

I gazed at the empty ballot... and I made my choice.

In December, just months after vacating The Daily Shows hosting chair, Jon Stewart surprised the crowd of his comedy alma mater to appear alongside his successor Trevor Noah. When the surprised reactions and appreciation from the crowd died down that day, Stewart got to the heart of his visit: to discuss his ongoing efforts in the healthcare fight for 9/11 first responders, an effort he has continued into his era of retirement.
On Monday, the venerable TV host made another surprise visit, though admittedly this one a bit less serious than his last. Seeing as how one of his old correspondents Samantha Bee now has one of the best late night shows on TV, it was just a matter of time until the longtime host made a cameo. This is your world, Bee pleads with her old boss in the clip. I could really just use some advice.
The comedic conceit is that Bee is holding what would appear to be a tiny horse inside her office, prompting her to ask Stewart, Can you take him to your massage farm? a reference to Stewarts efforts in partnering with Farm Sanctuary, a protection organization in New Jersey, late last year alongside his wife.
Im pretty sure I heard you gave up show business to go professionally massage livestock, says Bee in the clip. And of course, not even a comedic one-off sketch can go very far without an obligatory Trump reference these days, which you can check out the above clip from TBSs Full Frontal.

UPDATE: Minutes after we published this piece, the AP announced Hillary has clinched the nomination. Congratulations!!
Hillary Clinton will be the first woman nominee to represent a major party in the nations history. I have been waiting for this for a very long time.
On my 13th birthday, my aunt asked me: Where do you want to go in the world?
That was not an existential question, but a literal one. On our 13th birthday, each of the female cousins on that side of the family were gifted a trip to anyplace we wanted to go on Earth by my aunt, the only girl in a family of seven, the lone sister of six brothers, a woman who had worked her way up from a mailroom to an international vice-presidency.
I wanted to go to Britain, and so we did. On that trip, she asked me the bigger questions of where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be. When I asked her a question back, why it was that she only took the girls and not the boys, she explained: I want to give you something that is yours because you are a girl. You will be denied so much for the same reason. This is a world of men.
This is a world of men. Her words still hang in my ears. And what she told me has been true: I have been denied on the basis of my womanhood. I have witnessed other women be denied. I have seen how womanhood intersects with other oppressions to deny women of color, queer women, trans women, fat women, disabled women, poor women, old women, in particular ways.
I have seen the ways in which this is a world of men, in which its institutions are the realms of men. I have cheered as women have broken through, and I have grieved when women have failed.
And I have watched, with incandescent joy and agonizing fear of disappointment, as Hillary Clinton has fought her way through brick walls of misogyny to stand on the precipice of the presidency.
I have clapped my hands with elation and I have wrung my hands with worry and I have knitted by brow in rageful vexation and I have worked my mind and fingers to their limits, pounding away on a keyboard, with hope and anxiety.
This is a world of men. And the United States Presidency is one of the biggest, baddest Boys Clubs on the planet.
I dont just want any woman to break into it. I want a woman who has spent her career fighting for women and girls, who leverages her influence to uplift other women, who listens to women and amplifies their voices. I want Hillary Clinton. I want her to win.
And now, after two hundred and twenty-seven years of uninterrupted male presidencies, and nary a single female nominee from a major party, Hillary will pass the threshold. She will earn a majority of pledged delegates and clinch the Democratic nomination.
This is a world of men. But it doesnt have to be. Not anymore.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Uygur ... What is valid in 2008 isn't valid in 2016 because ... because ... Hillary Clinton is EVIL ...
This is Cenk Uygur & TYT announcing Barack Obama clinching nomination in 2008 .... on June 3rd.
Just as a reminder, on June 3rd, the primaries ended & then Sen Obama crossed the 50% mark of pledged delegates. Together with SUPER DELEGATES, the networks decided that he has enough to win the super delegates.
Cut to 2016 & this is Cenk Uygur and he accuses CNN and claims that calling Hillary as PRESUMPTIVE nominee on June 7th because she crossed the same threshold as Obama did in 2008 as the following: THIS IS NOT JOURNALISM! And then he goes on a rant on FBI indictment (sigh!)
Seriously, Cenk - get off your high horse. It already smells of hypocrisy. Logic died in that mess a long time back. At least spare exploiting decency.
Update: JurisDoctor shared this video of Cenk Uygur ripping Mark Penn in Feb 2008 because he wanted super delegates to overthrow the pledged delegates result if Hillary didnt win.
Pity, he doesnt remember his own comment
