annavictorious's JournalApparently the Democratic Party isn't the only organization that Sanders is exploiting.
I guess Sanders wants to lose by less at any cost.

Pundits were calling on Hillary to drop out of the 2008 race
as early as February 2008, right after Super Tuesday.
At the time, Clinton was behind Obama by seven pledged delegates.

DNC Obstructionism in the California Primary
California election law gives the two major parties the right to determine whether their state presidential primary is open or closed to independent voters.
The Republican party opted to close its primary. Only those registered Republican can vote.
The Democratic party opened its primary to independent voters.
The Democratic party had a choice and chose to allow independents to vote in the largest and most delegate-rich contest in the U.S.
Yup. Sounds like obstructionism and favoritism to me!
Why does Sanders get a pass when he shills for the military-industrial complex?
Why is this acceptable to the purists?

Jeff Weaver is on CNN
furiously backpedaling on his earlier statement on Nevada . Weaver is squirming, and Wolf Blitzer won't let go.
Weaver just guaranteed that there will be no violence in Philadelphia. Good luck controlling what you accidentally created, Jeff
MSNBC's Chris Hayes just had a segment on the Nevada convention
and the only story that he chose to cover was the one about a popular, longstanding Democratic senator (from a state that will be having a primary in a few weeks) being booed at a Democratic state convention by delegates for a candidate who just recently joined the Democratic party in order to exploit its resources. And he had video. And it was the only video he showed.
Way to court those super delegates!
Blocked by Bernie
For people who pride themselves on being progressive (faux that it may be), the Bernie groups are excellent at shutting down voices that ask questions, point out discrepancies, and or in any way call bs on BS.
I'd like to respond to this:
Bernie doesn't owe the Democratic Party anything
He caucused with them for years, and they repay him by putting their thumbs on the scales and trying to marginalize him. He doesn't owe the party; his debt is to the people who support him.
With this fact:
Sanders has had longstanding deals with the Democratic party. In exchange for his caucus vote, they funded his Congressional races with big-dollar donor and financial sector money and agreed not to primary him. In addition, they allowed him to run in the presidential primary as a Democrat, even though it was clear that he was only doing so to exploit the party's power, organization, and resources.

I can't post the reply, however, because I am banned by those progressive stalwarts of all things good and free, the berniebros. It's the DU equivalent of a child sticking his fingers in his ears and singing "La la la la, I can't hear you!"
Groupthink is a scary thing, be it right or be it left. That's one of the reasons why I'm With Her.

Rachel Maddow just called out Bernie Sanders
on his "contested convention" ploy. She told listeners where to send the hate mail she expects.
Hi everyone!
I'm new here. Looks like a great place to share ideas, debate topics, and promote democratic and progressive principles. I'm looking forward to a spirited and productive election season.
