Recently-Unearthed Transcript Proves Donald Trump Has Never, Ever Respected Women

Transcript of an interview from 1994:

Let’s talk about women. Your feelings toward them seem conflicted, even chauvinistic, confusing since you adore and respect your mother so much.

I have great relationships with women, my mother, Ivana, Marla, my female executives are better than the men: tougher, smarter

So why in 1992 did you tell a writer for New York magazine, Marie Brenner, that ‘You have to treat women like shit” – ultimately pouring a bottle of wine down her back?

I didn’t say that. The woman’s a liar, extremely unattractive, lots of problems because of her looks.

It’s alarming to see how quickly he transitions from “respect” to the complete opposite. “That statement is exactly why women think you’re a chauvinist pig,” Collins says, referring to Trump’s defensive posturing and his continued obsession with conflating a woman’s looks with her honesty. His response is telling:

They’re right – and not. People say, “how can you say such a thing?” but there’s a truth in it, in a modified form. Psychologists will tell you that some women want to be treated with respect, others differently. I tell friends who treat their wives magnificently, get treated like crap in return, “Be rougher and you’ll see a different relationship.’ Unfortunately, with people in general, you get more with vinegar than honey. I don’t want to sound like a chauvinist, but when I come home at night and dinner’s not ready I go through the roof. But I got handed casino numbers. After 12 hours dealing with my companies, I didn’t want to talk business. I can instantaneously shut it off, my survival mechanism. But she’d be yelling into the phone with the casino; I didn’t want my wife shouting like that. Ivana had a great softness that disappeared. She became an executive not a wife.

He also goes on to say that "Putting your wife to work is a very dangerous thing — the single biggest reason my marriage stopped being good, my fault more than hers. I thought, “Ivana’s a great homemaker, mother but I’ll give her something really exciting to do” — like raising kids wasn’t the most important job in the world...I don’t want to sound like a chauvinist, but when I come home at night and dinner’s not ready I go through the roof...After 12 hours dealing with my companies, I didn’t want to talk business. I can instantaneously shut it off, my survival mechanism. But she’d be yelling into the phone with the casino; I didn’t want my wife shouting like that. Ivana had a great softness that disappeared. A List of Women Who Have Accused Donald Trump of Sexual Misconduct

and the Trump Campaign's Explanations [Updating]

This week, six women came forward with specific allegations of sexual assault against Donald Trump, adding their voices to a growing chorus of women who say they were violated by the Republican presidential nominee. And with more women reportedly preparing to come forward tomorrow, it’s anyone’s guess what number—if any—will be the one that finally breaks Katrina Pierson.

The outpour began Friday, when the Washington Post published footage of Donald Trump talking with Access Hollywood host Billy Bush about sexually assaulting women on the strength of his celebrity. “I grab ‘em right by the pussy,” Trump said, telling Bush he liked to carry Tic Tacs with him in case he felt like forcibly kissing someone. “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump said. “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

In a subsequent apology video, and again during the second presidential debate, Trump repeatedly referred to the exchange as “locker room talk.” When Anderson Cooper asked if he’d ever done any of those things, Trump replied he had not. But now a host of women say he did those things and more, often using the exact same methods he bragged about in the so-called locker room chat with Bush.

Beautiful? No Experience? You Can Get Hired by Trump by David A. Graham

In a clip unearthed by Mother Jones, the Republican presidential nominee boasts about hiring a possibly underage woman simply because she was attractive.

On Wednesday, Pema Levy of Mother Jones dug up a video that will fuel the flames. It shows Trump at a 2007 appearance in San Francisco. A young woman steps to a microphone and asks how many jets he has and whether she can work on one. “Come on up here,” Trump says. “I think she’s hired.”

As the woman walks to the lectern, the crowd hoots. As she gets near, Trump takes a good long look at her décolletage, then says, “You’re hired.” What happens next is even stranger. He tells a story:

You know, I had a case that was very interesting. A beautiful girl who was 17 or 18 and applied to be a waitress. So beautiful. She's like a world-class beauty—like the young lady who just asked a question about the actress. She's so beautiful. And my people came and she said, "Mr. Trump, she has no experience." So I interviewed her anyway because she was so pretty. And I said, "Let me ask you, do you have any experience?" She goes, "No, sir." I say, "When can you start?"

It gets much worse if you go to the link. He even talks about how dangerous it is for him to hire a beautiful underage girl to work on his plane. He said it's like putting alcohol in front of an alcoholic. AND he said this when he was 2 years into his third marriage (I presume that's Melania, right?).

Newsweek: HOW THE TRUMP ORGANIZATION'S FOREIGN BUSINESS TIES COULD UPEND U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY

Kurt Eichenwald's article is up!

http://www.newsweek.com/2016/09/23/donald-trump-foreign-business-deals-national-security-498081.html

If Donald Trump is elected president, will he and his family permanently sever all connections to the Trump Organization, a sprawling business empire that has spread a secretive financial web across the world? Or will Trump instead choose to be the most conflicted president in American history, one whose business interests will constantly jeopardize the security of the United States?

Throughout this campaign, the Trump Organization, which pumps potentially hundreds of millions of dollars into the Trump family’s bank accounts each year, has been largely ignored. As a private enterprise, its businesses, partners and investors are hidden from public view, even though they are the very people who could be enriched by—or will further enrich—Trump and his family if he wins the presidency.

A close examination by Newsweek of the Trump Organization, including confidential interviews with business executives and some of its international partners, reveals an enterprise with deep ties to global financiers, foreign politicians and even criminals, although there is no evidence the Trump Organization has engaged in any illegal activities. It also reveals a web of contractual entanglements that could not be just canceled. If Trump moves into the White House and his family continues to receive any benefit from the company, during or even after his presidency, almost every foreign policy decision he makes will raise serious conflicts of interest and ethical quagmires.
