Aaron Rodgers could practice on Saturday
Now that's a remarkable recovery. Hope he's not rushing back to his own long-term detriment...
The Green Bay Packers quarterback was actually eligible to return to practice on Friday, but coach Mike McCarthy uses Fridays before a Sunday game for recovery, treatment and meetings, and then puts the team through a short practice on Saturdays.
Rodgers has a workout scheduled for Friday, and barring a setback, he would practice Saturday.
"We're looking tomorrow to potentially practice him in a trial return," McCarthy said Friday morning. "That's the outlook. We'll determine that tomorrow after his work today."

Page Six reports that Lauer's team is seeking for NBC to pay the host for the remainder of his $20 million per year contract, which still had a year and a half left before he was fired.
“They are currently looking at his contract and determining whether the claims against him, which clearly would affect any moral clause in his contract and his ensuing termination would cut off his contractual rights to be paid through to the end of his contract," a source close to Lauer's team told the outlet.
Morality clauses are often added to contracts allowing companies to fire employees for publicly embarrassing situations that damage the company's image.

Manning has started 210 consecutive regular season games for the Giants, the second-longest streak by a quarterback in NFL history, behind Brett Favre's 297. He has started every Giants game since Nov. 21, 2004, when he took over for veteran Kurt Warner in his rookie season.
Coach Ben McAdoo made the announcement Tuesday. Rookie Davis Webb will also play before the end of the season, if not this week.
"Geno will start this week," McAdoo said. "Over the last five games, we will take a look at Geno, and we will also give Davis an opportunity."
