Which health scare is very serious? Cancer or Stroke?

The reason why I bring this up is because John Fetterman(PA) suffered a stroke during the 2022 US Senate Election and won by a 5 percent margin against Doctorb Oz. Jamie Raskin has been diagnosed with cancer twice in his life 2010(colon cancer) and 2022(b cell lymphoma). If Raskin runs for the US Senate, he will win by at least a 25 percent margin.
The 2024 MD US Senate Democratic primary race between John Sarbanes and Jamie Raskin is going to be a Tossup. Raskin will run or not run depending on how serious the cancer is.

John Sarbanes is the obvious replacement to Ben Cardin.

US Representative from the Greater Baltimore Area.
Son of a popular former US Senator.

Jamie Raskin is the most progressive US House Member from MD.
Might not run because of the cancer and is going to become chairman of the US House Oversight and Reform Committee when the Democrats regain control of the US House.

US Senator from Maryland previous job before becoming US Senator.

Van Hollen-D(US House Member)2002-2016
Cardin-D(US House Member)1986-2006
Mikulski-D(US House Member)1976-1986
Sarbanes-D(US House Member)1970-1976
Beall jr-R(US House Member)1968-1970
Mathias-R(US House Member)1960-1968
J Tydings-D(US Attorney)
Brewster-D(US House Member)1958-1962
Beall-R(US House Member)1942-1952

8 out of 10 of those US Senators were members of the US House just right before they got elected to the US Senate.

If Cardin-D decides not to seek re-election in 2024, he will be replaced by
J. Sarbanes-D or J. Raskin-D.

If Cardin-MD decides not to seek re-election to his US Senate seat in 2024,

Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks should be the Democratic Nominee.
Alsobrooks will be the MD’s 1st black female US Senator and an outspoken progressive.
Jamie Raskin is better of remaining in the US House because he can represents a safe democratic district, he is a shoe-in in the Democratic primary for his US House seat, he can campaign for Democratic US House nominees from swing districts nationwide to get elected in order for Democrats to get back in the majority in the US House in order for Raskin to be the chairman of the US House Oversight and Reform Committee.
