Manafort can still be charged with crimes, STATE crimes.

A Intel Comm staffer just said on Lawrence O'Donnell that Mueller isn't done and there are likely more crimes that haven't been revealed yet at a State level. The states are where defendants can't be pardoned by anyone but the governor. More is coming Manafort's way and next week's day in the DC court will not be the last time there is a case against him.

I wasn't surprised by the light sentence, were you?

We all have heard from this judge before. Rachel Maddow did part of a show on him. We all knew where he stood and what he is made of. His reputation, from before he ever heard of Manafort, was that of an arrogant, grand standing, emotional and "unusually biased" judge. Next week's judge is different and from what we have seen and heard from her and her court I expect Manafort will receive a fair and just sentence by a professional judge. Her actions and reputation are much more balanced and appropriate than today's judge's light sentencing.

47 months! That is all he got from Judge Ellis.

Thank god he sees a decent judge next week.

"Manafort was wheeled into court looking like Hannibal Lecter

all trussed up in his wheelchair and green jumpsuit", that made me laugh out loud when I heard it earlier.

Now that the judge is being his usual asinine, grandstanding self I am bringing out the popcorn. At least Manafort has to see a normal judge next week in the Fed. DC Court for sentencing there. She is not a showboat and nutcase like this judge in VA.

Do you really think tRump will try to start a Civil War if not reelected?

Cohen's friend Donny Deutche keeps saying that he knows the moron and fully expects that he will tell his deplorables to take up arms when he leaves office and under any circumstance (whether he is jailed, forced to resign or isn't reelected). I have heard this from many pundits over the past few months but I don't buy it.

I got a CNN video on my google home page of Melanie

and it appears to be a regular CNN article but as a video (I never saw this before) and upon closer look...
two of her teeth are blacked out.

Did you see it too? I thought Google Home page and CNN were free of this doctoring.

The GOP reps barely showed up for Cohen's testimony today.

Dem Rep Maloney just told Chris Hayes that the GOP was not interested in today's testimony and those who did show up began to slowly filiter out. Apparently since there were no news cameras the GOP couldn't grandstand and it wasn't worth their time.

About BigmanPigman

I am 57, retired teacher and illustrator, life-long dem., activist, union member. Also I do not use social media and I'm technologically retarded. I love dogs, rock music and swearing (a lot). My 17 year old "puppy" died on June 2, 2020. She grew up listening to Animals (Pink Floyd). She has kept me sane through the tRump years, not easy, and has given me endless love, companionship, kisses and tail wags.
