Family dinner lesson....sad.
At our last family dinner my grandson, Liam (8), was practicing hit the ground and play dead if he hears gunfire at school. We also emphasized listening to what his teacher, principal, etc. advise, if a situation presents itself.
We usually just play board games....

A year ago, I was hanging off the side of what would become the new Northwestern Mutual building in downtown Milwaukee.
Even the most experienced ironworkers get nervous when you're hundreds or thousands of feet up on a skyscraper, but you trust your safety gear, you trust your team, and you do the job.
I feel the same way about this campaign.
Deciding to go up against the Speaker of the House was hard. I knew they'd throw everything at me. I knew it would be personal. And, there are still days when it feels like just too much. But then I think about this incredible team we've built, and I know we can get the job done.
But, in just the first two months of this year, YOU helped us raise $1.5 million, an average donation of just around twenty bucks coming from thousands of people.
That's incredible. That's how we fight back against Paul Ryan and his allies. We have a lot more to do, but this is how we create a country that works for working people.
If I'm elected, I promise I'll never stop fighting for you, no matter how hard it is, because nothing in Washington D.C. is as hard as what our families are going through here at home. I think it's about time we had a representative who remembers that.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
