Pugster's JournalCollins: Moore's denials aren't convincing
Source: CNN
Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins said on Sunday that she does not believe Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore's denials of the sexual allegations against him and hopes the state's voters do not send him to Washington.
"I did not find his denials to be convincing at all," Collins said on CNN's "State of the Union."
The Washington Post published a report earlier this month based on interviews with more than 30 people that said Moore pursued relationships with teenagers while he was in his 30s. One woman alleged she was 14 years old when Moore initiated sexual contact with her. Alabama's legal age of consent, then and now, is 16.
Since the Post's report, another woman has come forward and accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16.

House Intel panel weighs subpoena for Twitter over Trump Jr.'s WikiLeaks messages
Source: CBS News
The House Intelligence Committee is weighing whether to subpoena Twitter over the messages between Donald Trump Jr. and WikiLeaks, CBS News' Jeff Pegues has learned.
A source familiar with the House panel's deliberations said members want a "full picture" of the president's son's contacts with the controversial website.
Earlier this week, Trump Jr. released screenshots of what he claimed were all of the Twitter private messages between him and Wikileaks. The top members on the Senate Judiciary Committee said that the documents from Kushner's lawyer failed to include "several documents that are known to exist" concerning September 2016 email communications to Kushner about WikiLeaks.
Trump Jr. was in direct communication with Wikileaks beginning in September of 2016 within days of then-candidate Trump praising Wikileaks as it released stolen Democratic Party emails and damaging information on Hillary Clinton.

Junior thought that taking a screenshot of cherry picked messages would fool the panel.
No. Twitter needs to come up with everything.
Democratic data scientist: Having a scanda-free incumbent in Minnesota is key to holding Senate seat
David Shor shows how Minnesota, where Hillary beat Trump by 1.5%. has been increasingly losing its status as a safe blue state throughout the years:
A scandal-free candidate for the Senate is recommended in order to save keep Al Franken's seat, Shor argues.

Gillibrand Says Bill Clinton Should Have Resigned Over Lewinsky Affair
Source: New York Times
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, who holds Hillary Clintons former seat, said on Thursday that Bill Clinton should have resigned the presidency after his inappropriate relationship with an intern came to light nearly 20 years ago.
Asked directly if she believed Mr. Clinton should have stepped down at the time, Ms. Gillibrand took a long pause and said, Yes, I think that is the appropriate response.
But she also appeared to signal that what is currently considered a fireable offense may have been more often overlooked during the Clinton era.
Things have changed today, and I think under those circumstances there should be a very different reaction, Ms. Gillibrand said. And I think in light of this conversation, we should have a very different conversation about President Trump, and a very different conversation about allegations against him.

Gillibrand: I believe Franken's accuser
Source: The Hill
A Democratic senator says she believes the woman accusing fellow Democratic Sen. Al Franken (Minn.) of groping and kissing her without consent during a USO tour in 2006.
Asked if she believes the woman accusing Franken, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said, "I do."
Gillibrand's remarks came after Leeann Tweeden, a morning radio anchor in Los Angeles, wrote a post on the radio station's website Thursday in which she said Franken grabbed her breasts while she was sleeping during a USO tour to entertain troops in the Middle East in December 2006.
Tweeden included a photograph of the incident as proof.

Warren: Frankens Reported Behavior Unacceptable And Deeply Disappointing
Source: Associated Press/CBS
BOSTON (CBS/AP) Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is speaking out about a womans claim that Minnesota Sen. Al Franken groped and kissed her without consent.
Los Angeles radio anchor Leeann Tweeden says Franken forcibly kissed her during a 2006 USO tour. She also accused Franken of posing for a photo with his hands on her breasts as she slept, while both were performing for military personnel two years before the one-time comedian was elected to the Senate.
The behavior reported today is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I am glad Senator Franken has acknowledged as much and has agreed to cooperate with an ethics investigation, Warren said in a statement.
Women who come forward are brave and deserve to be respected. Were not going to fix the problems of sexual harassment and assault until men take responsibility for their actions and change their behavior.

Good news. If Al Franken resigns, the Democratic Minnesota Governor will appoint a new senator
No special election is required in Minnesota, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Al Franken resigns, as I suspect he will, then the Democratic Minnesota Governor is almost certain to pick a democratic replacement.
Russia is ordering its trolls to tweet any terms related to the Clintons and Uranium One
I remember that during the 2016 campaign, when Trump's pussy grabbing Scandal broke out, the podesta emails were suddenly released immediately afterward, in a matter of minutes.
Today, Putin seems to have ordered his trolls to mass-tweet news related to "Uranium One" and "Clintons", as damage control in response to the Wikileaks bombshell.
Russia's influence in Twitter and Facebook continue unabated.
