Edward, the mad shirt grinder
I literally have not thought about this song in decades. I was looking at the photography contest submissions here on du and there was a picture of a cat titled "Edward". "Edward the mad shirt grinder" immediately popped into my mind for some reason.

I read this quote right after the 2016 election and it eased my despair.
I think we are about to see the end, and the fall of Trump and his minions.

Voted this afternoon in Franklin county
There was a long line, but it moved quickly. We were in line at 1:45, into the building at 2:15 and out the door at 2:30.
Lost on the frontline...
"Hundreds of US healthcare workers have died fighting Covid-19. We count them and investigate why..."
Here's a link to an article in The Guardian. I found it very moving. I was on the frontline in March and April and had some good friends become very ill, thankfully they all recovered. I wish I could say the same for all our patients.
I'm going to bed now, after a relatively peaceful nightshift.
